The uniforms are meant to honor the 1994 49ers team that won the Super Bowl over the San Diego Chargers, 49-26, led by Steve Young and Jerry Rice.
Young was named the Super Bowl MVP, setting a Super Bowl record with six touchdowns.
Seattle Seahawks’ Throwbacks
The Seahawks are wearing their blue-and-silver 1990s throwback jerseys with their silver pants and silver throwback helmets.
This is the second time that they have worn these uniforms this season.

Here’s how the Seahawks’ website describes the throwback uniforms: “The throwback uniforms represent the importance of the 90s for not only the Seahawks organization, but also the city of Seattle.
“These uniforms are a part of the Seahawks’ foundation as the team wore them in the inaugural season in 1976 through the end of the 2001 season. The uniform combination features the classic silver helmet, royal blue and apple green jerseys and silver pants.”
