Is Philadelphia Eagles WR A.J. Brown playing and available for fantasy football managers in Week 6? His long-awaited return could be near.

After a dominant performance in Week 1, Philadelphia Eagles star wide receiver A.J. Brown has missed the team’s last three games due to a hamstring injury. Philadelphia’s offense struggled mightily without Brown in recent weeks, and the much-needed bye week provided extra rest for Brown ahead of Week 6.

Will A.J. Brown Be Active in Week 6?

According to James Palmer of Bleacher Report, Brown is expected to return for the Eagles in Week 6 against the Cleveland Browns. Since the Eagles acquired Brown in 2022, he has been a key cog on the team’s offense and a reliable target for Jalen Hurts.

Brown has now missed four full games and three-quarters of another game since arriving in Philadelphia. In those five games, the Eagles have averaged just 14.2 points per game and 196.2 passing yards per game.

In Week 2, Brown discussed a potential timeline for his hamstring injury with Lisa Salters of ESPN. Brown initially stated that he believed he would miss “a couple of weeks” due to his hamstring injury.

As Philadelphia’s upcoming matchup against the Browns approaches, Brown has received more than a couple of weeks off to recover from his hamstring injury. After four full weeks off, Brown appears to be ready to return for the Eagles in Week 6.

    Brown’s Fantasy Outlook This Week

If Brown returns in Week 6, that is great news for nearly every player on Philadelphia’s offense in fantasy football. Brown is a certified star wide receiver that Cleveland will be forced to account for at all times.

In his first game of the regular season, Brown showcased his explosive ability with a game-changing 67-yard touchdown to open the second half. If Brown plays against Cleveland, he will surely be a must-start WR with elite potential against a struggling secondary in Week 6.

In Week 1 against the Green Bay Packers, Brown totaled five receptions for 119 yards and one touchdown. It was an impressive showing that landed him as the seventh-highest-scoring wide receiver of the opening week of the regular season.

Brown should be in line for a huge performance against Cleveland, as the Browns have allowed the 11th most points to wide receivers in fantasy football this season. Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin had a strong performance against the Browns last week, hauling in four receptions for 112 yards.

While the Browns continue to spiral out of control at 1-4, Philadelphia’s offense should have a bounce-back performance in Week 6. Look for Brown to have a huge day against Cleveland’s underwhelming defense in his return to action.
