MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. — Help is on the way for the Miami Dolphins.
Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. will practice with the Dolphins on Wednesday for the first time.
He’s been on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list since July but has progressed enough in the last month that the Dolphins are comfortable opening his three-week window to return as early as is allowed.

Assuming he can play in his first week back from the PUP list, Beckham will get a lot of work in this week with Snoop Huntley, who will start again for the Dolphins, as coach Mike McDaniel announced Tuesday.
Huntley didn’t throw for 100 yards in his Dolphins debut, but McDaniel said that “after reviewing the tape, there’s reason for guys to be excited about [Huntley]. … There were some things to build upon, and we’re excited to do that tomorrow.”

Beckham isn’t the only expected Dolphins contributor who will be back on the practice field Wednesday. The Dolphins are also opening the practice window for second-year cornerback Cam Smith, who was on injured reserve for the first month of the season with a hamstring injury.
The Dolphins could get a double blast of good news at corner.
After missing the Titans game on Monday, Kendall Fuller continues to make good progress through the concussion protocol and has a real chance to play Sunday against the New England Patriots.
The same is true for offensive tackle Terron Armstead, who also was unable to go against the Titans. He’s also making encouraging progress through the protocol.
As for outside linebacker Jaelan Phillips, the knee injury that knocked him out of Monday night’s game doesn’t appear to be season-ending, but the Dolphins won’t have him this coming Sunday against the Patriots.

All three are at least another week off from being able to practice. The Dolphins have their bye in Week 6, so the Dolphins presumably would give them until at least Oct. 16 to open their respective practice windows.
Beckham’s return would be a big lift to the NFL’s worst offense. The Dolphins simply have gotten no production from their WR3 this season. The receivers not named Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle have a combined four catches for 56 yards this season.
