A scary scene unfolded Sunday afternoon at MetLife Stadium.
Denver Broncos running back Tyler Badie was stretchered off the field during the second quarter of his team’s game against the New York Jets. Badie suffered an apparent back/neck injury while being tackled after catching a pass from Bo Nix.
What Happened to Tyler Badie?
Badie, who fumbled on the play, didn’t initially appear to suffer a serious injury while being tackled by Jets linebacker Quincy Williams. However, upon closer review, Badie appeared to land awkwardly on his neck.

Prayers up for Tyler Badie 🙏🏼
Could be latent concussion response, or possibly neck injury when he hit the turf. Response was well after he was on the sideline for a while. pic.twitter.com/17MdUJe1pX

Badie then walked gingerly to the sideline before dropping to his hand knees. After an extended break, he was put onto a stretcher and taken off the field.
