The Top D/ST To Start in Week 2

    Pittsburgh Steelers (at Broncos)

The Denver Broncos have allowed pressure at the fourth-highest rate since the beginning of last season (41.3%; league average: 35.9%), a concerning rate against a Pittsburgh Steelers team that is 10th-best at applying heat when bringing an extra defender.

Bo Nix is going to make some good plays this season and maybe even in this game, but the bad-play potential is as high as anyone in the league, and that makes Pittsburgh’s D/ST a must-play.

    Kansas City Chiefs (vs. Bengals)

The Kansas City Chiefs boast an elite defense and are playing at home on extended rest against a quarterback who may not be fully healthy. Why overthink things?

It’s easy to like Kansas City to put points on the board early and often in this spot, thus forcing Cincinnati’s hand on the offensive end. If a compromised Joe Burrow is being overly aggressive with Tee Higgins sidelined — this could be an ugly 0-2 start.
