Is Taylor Swift at the Ravens vs. Chiefs Season Opener? Details on if Famed Singer Will Attend

    Published on

The most anticipated arrival ahead of the 2024 NFL season is pending. We dive into if Chiefs superfan Taylor Swift will walk into Arrowhead Stadium.

If there’s one burning question surrounding the 2024 Kansas City Chiefs, it’s not just limited to if they’ll become the league’s first three-peat Super Bowl winner starting on Thursday night.

The next most pressing question: Will sudden Chiefs superfan Taylor Swift show up to the NFL season opener between the champs and Baltimore Ravens?

Update 09/02/24: Taylor Swift has officially arrived at Arrowhead to cheer on her boyfriend Travis Kelce.

Details on Taylor Swift’s Rumored TNF Appearance

Swift captivated the league, sports world, and her “Swifties” fanbase by becoming a well-known attendee of Chiefs games last year, all thanks to her high-profile romantic link with Kansas City All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce.

Swift even juggled her busy Eras Tour schedule to make it to her beau’s games.

Ahead of the Thursday night opener at Arrowhead Stadium, it’s not yet confirmed if the multiple Grammy-winning country/pop singer will be in attendance. However, her current schedule moves the needle to “likely” for the TNF kickoff.

However, although not confirmed, the New York Times is reporting that, according to a source briefed on the security arrangements at Arrowhead Stadium, Swift will be present to cheer on her boyfriend.

Swift is currently on a two-month break from her record-breaking tour. The next time she’ll perform in front of her fans will be Oct. 18 in Miami.

But her next scheduled public appearance won’t be until Sept. 11 in New York City, as she’s nominated for 10 MTV Video Music Awards.

If Swift walks into the Arrowhead hallways and towards her designated suite, it’ll be the first time the music sensation will take in a Chiefs Week 1 game. Swift was not a regular attendee of Chiefs games until her relationship with Kelce sprouted ahead of a Week 3 contest against the Chicago Bears.

In total, Swift managed to cheer on Kelce and her newfound favorite NFL team for 13 games. That includes attending every Kansas City playoff game. She was also spotted inside an Allegiant Stadium suite while watching the Chiefs capture the franchise’s second consecutive Super Bowl title when they beat the San Francisco 49ers in February.

Two of Swift’s more notable moments from that game: Chugging a beer inside the suite, then embracing Kelce after the overtime win.

As for the Ravens, if Swift does indeed attend, they will have an opportunity to snap Kansas City’s five-game winning streak with the iconic singer watching inside the stadium.

Could Swift Have an Additional Role With Chiefs? Patrick Mahomes Spills Details

Swift’s NFL appearances sparked new intrigue for the league, as her massively large fanbase began to adopt the Chiefs as their team. Ratings also soared for the league as different networks constantly placed the camera on her, from walk-ins to the stadium to getting facial reactions during games.

Swift, though, could have a different role with the Chiefs … at least according to three-time Super Bowl Most Valuable Player Patrick Mahomes.

In a recent conversation with NBC Sports’ Chris Simms, Mahomes hinted Swift could soon be in her coaching era.

“She’s really interested in football, and she asks a lot of great questions,” he said. “She started drawing up plays. We might have to put one in.”

Even Kelce himself told the “Rich Eisen Show” that Swift is showing a more meticulous side in learning about football.

“I think what makes her so good in her profession is that she’s so detailed in every aspect of it, from the words to the music to even the releases and the music videos and everything,” he said. “She’s so detailed and a part of it that I think she was just curious about the profession. I know none of the plays have gotten to coach (Andy) Reid yet, but if they ever do, I’ll make sure everyone knows it was her creation.”

No word yet on whether Reid will be running whatever Swift is rumored to have drawn up, but it sounds like Swift didn’t leave a blank space for her sudden football creativity.

We’ll see if the Ravens are ready for it.
