Patriots Roster Moves: 3 Released Players Seemingly Rejoin Practice Squad

FOXBORO, Mass. — The New England Patriots are still making roster moves. Wednesday saw the reveal of the first seven members of New England’s practice squad, with Thursday’s practice seemingly revealing the addition of four more to the 16-player group.

Patriots Seemingly Add 4 More Players to Practice Squad

To clear room for waiver claims, the Patriots released four initially rostered players on Wednesday: cornerback Isaiah Bolden, defensive tackle Trysten Hill, receiver Jalen Reagor, and guard Michael Jordan.

Three of the four (Hill, Reagor, and Jordan) were at practice on Thursday, indicating they signed to the practice squad. Bolden, a seventh-round pick in 2023, must clear waivers before potentially rejoining the Patriots.

With New England going on break Friday through Monday, we might have to wait until Monday to learn whether Bolden was re-signed. The signings of the other three players will likely be made official on Thursday afternoon.

Additionally, Thursday’s practice saw the debut of a previously non-rostered player: rookie center Bryan Hudson, who spent training camp with the Detroit Lions after going undrafted. His joining of the practice squad will likely be made official Thursday afternoon as well.

Here are the other seven members of the Patriots practice squad:

    • RB Kevin Harris
    • S A.J. Thomas
    • RB Terrell Jennings
    • WR Matt Landers
    • TE Mitchell Wilcox
    • DE Jotham Russell
    • OL Liam Fornadel

As a member of the NFL’s International Player Pathway Program, Russell, a former Australian rugby player, doesn’t count toward one of the 16 practice squad slots. He essentially enables the Patriots to carry a 17-man practice squad.
