Cleveland Browns 2025 7-Round Mock Draft: Drew Allar Waits In the Wings Past Deshaun Watson

In this 2025 NFL Mock Draft, the Browns prepare for the worst-case scenario with Deshaun Watson, but also give their QB offensive line help.

This 2025 NFL Mock Draft shows how the Cleveland Browns can make the most of their opportunity with the 2025 class approaching. There’s an abundance of talent on both sides of the ball, and Kevin Stefanski can take advantage.

Who Could the Cleveland Browns Draft in the 2025 NFL Draft?

Note: The draft order for the 2025 NFL Mock Draft was derived from my record and playoff predictions for the 2024 NFL regular season.

    17) Cleveland Browns: Kelvin Banks Jr., OT, Texas

Jedrick Wills might not have much time left in Cleveland. If he leaves, count Kelvin Banks Jr. as one of the top candidates to join the Dawg Pound with his physical profile.

Banks combines natural leverage with proportional length and pop in his hands, and there are flashes of synergy in pass protection. Meanwhile, in the run game, he’s a monster.

2.49) Cleveland Browns: Drew Allar, QB, Penn State

There’s no moving off Deshaun Watson yet, but if there are still cracks in 2024, adding a young QB with potential makes a lot of sense.

Drew Allar would benefit from sitting early, and he has the elite composite arm talent to deliver on that patience.

3.81) Cleveland Browns: Aeneas Peebles, DT, Virginia Tech

Aeneas Peebles fits the Browns’ preferred mold at DT as a sawed-off disruptor who can also hold up at the point and stall rushing looks.

    Rounds 4-7

    4.114) Trevor Etienne, RB, Georgia
6.176) Montorie Foster, WR, Michigan State
6.178) Smael Mondon Jr., LB, Georgia
    6.189) Benjamin Yurosek, TE, Stanford
7.210) Joseph Adedire, EDGE, Texas Tech

Browns 2025 NFL Mock Draft Analysis

There’s a cloud hovering over any Browns 2025 NFL Mock Draft, and that’s Deshaun Watson.

The Browns can’t feasibly cut ties with Watson until after the 2026 season. But even the off-field concerns aside, Watson has rarely been available for Cleveland since the franchise traded for him in the 2022 offseason. And when he has been available, he’s scarcely been a top-16 performer at quarterback.

The Browns gave up a king’s ransom to get Watson, but the best franchises cut their losses early when it’s clear there was a misstep. Time will tell if that means spending a first-, second-, or third-round pick on a QB in 2025, but in short: QB should be on the radar.

Drew Allar is a good fit behind Watson in this 2025 NFL Mock Draft. He’s an elite physical talent with extraordinary arm strength and elasticity. And as a young passer, he’d especially benefit from one or two years to sit on the bench, while Watson plays out his contract.

In the meantime, the Browns can strengthen the offense as well. Five of their picks in this mock are on that side of the ball, including first-round tackle Kelvin Banks Jr., dynamic change-of-pace running back Trevor Etienne, and route running savant Montorie Foster.

On the defensive side, Aeneas Peebles will solidify the front, and Smael Mondon Jr. and Joseph Adedire are both high-upside gambles late on Day 3.
