How did the Atlanta Falcons fare in the latest seven-round 2025 NFL Mock Draft at PFN? Here’s a look at the Falcons’ projected class and how it blends with the current roster.
In short, an extended playoff stay could be on the horizon.
Who Could the Atlanta Falcons Draft in the 2025 NFL Draft?
The draft order for the 2025 NFL Mock Draft was derived from my record and playoff predictions for the 2024 NFL regular season.
1.19) Atlanta Falcons: Mykel Williams, EDGE, Georgia
Even after the Matt Judon trade, there’s still a sense that one more thing is missing on the Falcons’ defensive front. That one thing is certified game-breaker Mykel Williams.
Williams can be one of the finishing pieces with his hyper-elite power profile and stunt capability. In time, with more hand usage refinement, he can become a terror one-on-one.
2.51) Atlanta Falcons: Oronde Gadsden II, WR/TE, Syracuse
Oronde Gadsden II can feasibly play WR or TE, but alongside Kyle Pitts, I prefer keeping Gadsden at WR with Drake London.
Gadsden is an effortless separator at 6’5″, 220 pounds who brings smooth, authoritative catch-point skills to the fold.
3.96) Atlanta Falcons (via HOU): Dontay Corleone, DT, Cincinnati
Projected Trade: Falcons receive No. 96 overall pick, 2026 seventh-round pick; Texans receive No. 116 overall pick, 2026 fourth-round pick, 2026 sixth-round pick
Dontay Corleone is the perfect anchor for a defensive line that now has Grady Jarrett, Mykel Williams, Matt Judon, and Ruke Orhorhoro.
Rounds 4-7
5.148) Kevin Winston Jr., S, Penn State
7.222) T.J. Sanders, DT, South Carolina
Falcons 2025 NFL Mock Draft Analysis
First, let’s take a look at that defensive line.
On the edge, you have Williams and Judon, with Arnold Ebiketie as a reserve. On the interior, you have Corleone, Jarrett, and Orhorhoro, with Brandon Dorlus also rotating in.
That is a formidable — and versatile — unit with an abundance of top-end raw talent. If Judon is extended, this group stays together even longer.
Since the pass rush has been a weak spot in Atlanta for so long, improving at such a drastic level can’t go unnoticed. But this Falcons 2025 NFL Mock Draft was successful in other areas, too.
Elsewhere on defense, the Falcons managed to add a potential developmental strong safety in Penn State’s Kevin Winston Jr.
Standing at around 6’2″, Winston has length, range, and physicality, and he could go on to be a potential running mate for Jessie Bates III.
Additionally, the Falcons brought in more size and separation ability on offense with Syracuse’s Oronde Gadsden II. Gadsden would function well as a WR2 alongside London. Like London and Pitts, Gadsden has size-defying fluidity and burst, and he’s a contested catch artist who takes charge in tough spots.
For a team gearing up to compete with Kirk Cousins at the helm, this Falcons 2025 NFL Mock Draft might be enough to get them over the hump.
