Is Travis Kelce Playing Against the Jaguars Tonight?
Travis Kelce touched down in Jacksonville, Fla., donning a loose beige shirt on Aug. 9, and according to Kansas City’s head coach Andy Reid, who, unlike many other coaches, has decided to play his key players and not let them sit this one out to avoid any injuries ahead of the regular season that starts in September.
During an interview on Aug. 7, Reid said he would “play everybody” to see how the new draft picks perform against competition.
“As far as the play time for this game, we’ll go the ones for a quarter, twos for the second quarter, threes the third quarter, and fours for the fourth quarter, and we’ll just keep it at that,” Reid said.
However, the Chiefs’ head coach explained that the playing time for crucial players like Kelce and Mahomes, who will be limited to just one quarter.
“I allow ’em to get into the swing of things, and the ones know how to do that,” Reid explained. “Both sides of the ball, they know how to go about doing that, but somewhere you’ve got to get on there and shoot, and so it gives him an opportunity to do that.”
According to multiple reports, Kelce almost canceled his availability to the first preseason game as Swift had to cancel her three-night show in Vienna due to a government-confirmed terrorist attack planned by three teenagers who were later arrested.

“Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour Vienna shows [have been] canceled due to government officials’ confirmation of planned terrorist attack,” read a statement from concert organizers Barracuda Music. “With confirmation from government officials of a planned terrorist attack at Ernst-Happel-Stadion, we have no choice but to cancel the three scheduled shows for everyone’s safety.”
The “Tortured Poet’s Department” singer’s boyfriend offered to miss the first game and fly out to Vienna as he was “very concerned” about her safety and wanted to be there for her during the scary incident.

The two-time Super Bowl champ took the world by storm with the news that he and 14-time Grammy Award winner Taylor Swift were dating.
