How Many Picks Do the Jaguars Have in the 2025 NFL Draft?

Currently, the Jaguars have nine picks in the 2025 NFL Draft. They still possess all seven of their original selections.

Both of Jacksonville’s extra picks were acquired as part of the Minnesota Vikings’ trade up from 23rd to 17th overall in the 2024 NFL Draft to acquire Alabama edge rusher Dallas Turner after he fell.

While Minnesota got Turner, Jacksonville dropped six spots and acquired wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. — who was viewed by evaluators to be a top prospect fit for them — and they still got back an extra third- and fourth-round pick in the process, too.

Interestingly, the Jaguars had nine picks in the 2024 NFL Draft as well. While there’s still time for things to change, Jacksonville is ahead in terms of capital accumulation.

What Are the Jaguars’ Biggest Needs in 2025?

    Offensive tackle. That’s the list.

In reality, there are more — but offensive tackle is at the very top. Cam Robinson and Walker Little are both scheduled to be free agents in 2025. While the Jaguars have a sturdy bookend at right tackle in Anton Harrison, they could lose both their starting left tackle and their very competent swing tackle in one fell swoop.

Thus, it stands to reason that tackle will likely be a heavy target for the Jaguars in the early rounds next April. Candidates to be selected include LSU’s Will Campbell and Emery Jones Jr., Texas’ Kelvin Banks Jr., Arkansas’ Fernando Carmona Jr., and Arizona’s Jonah Savaiinaea, among others.

Tackle isn’t the only potential area of concern on the offensive line, either. Veteran right guard Brandon Scherff is entering the last year of his deal, which means a new void could open up on the interior.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Jaguars are relatively strong. They recently extended Tyson Campbell, and they added a potential nickel CB in Jarrian Jones. The defensive line has plenty of talent, as does the linebacker group led by Devin Lloyd.

Safety also appears to be a strength for Jacksonville, but one player to watch is Andre Cisco. The playmaker’s contract is up in 2025, and if Jacksonville isn’t careful, someone else could pay up to claim his services.

Additionally, on the boundary opposite Campbell, Ronald Darby — while a very competent veteran CB — is a short-term acquisition, leaving room for Jacksonville to re-invest next offseason.
