Green Bay’s defensive side of the ball underwent a complete overhaul, while the offensive side remained intact, with LaFleur continuing to call plays and run the show. Alongside offensive coordinator Adam Stenavich, the Packers’ offense ranked 11th in total offense, averaging 345.5 yards per game and scoring 44 touchdowns.
The Packers’ passing game, led by Jordan Love, ranked 12th, averaging 233.4 yards per game and 32 touchdowns. Meanwhile, Green Bay’s rushing offense, ranked 15th, averaging 112.1 yards per game with 32 touchdowns.
Tom Clements proved to be a key member of the staff as the quarterbacks coach, playing a pivotal role in Love’s development. In his first year as a starter, Love threw for 4,159 yards, 32 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions.
Rich Bisaccia also returns to Green Bay’s staff as assistant head coach and special teams coordinator. In his first season with the Packers after spending 2022 as the Raiders’ interim head coach, Bisaccia’s special-teams unit ranked 29th according to Rick Gosselin’s annual ranking.
New Additions to the Packers’ Coaching Staff
Following the 2024 season, LaFleur fired defensive coordinator Joe Barry after the team’s defense ranked 17th in total defense, allowing 335.1 yards per game and 37 touchdowns. The defense’s biggest weakness was against the run, which ranked 28th, allowing 128.3 yards per game and 15 touchdowns.
As a result, Jeff Hafley was hired as the new defensive coordinator. Hafley joins the team after spending 2020-2023 as Boston College’s head coach. A DB specialist, he previously served as a defensive backs coach from 2008-2018 and was the co-defensive coordinator and DBs coach at Ohio State in 2019.

Fortunately for Hafley, the Packers’ defensive backfield was their strongest asset in 2023, ranking ninth in the NFL by allowing just 206.8 passing yards per game and 21 touchdowns. Derrick Ansley will assist Hafley as the defensive passing game coordinator.
In addition, Anthony Campanile joins Green Bat as the linebackers coach and running game coordinator, with a focus on improving 2023’s struggling run defense.
