Throughout nine NFL seasons, Compton was seen as a competent inside linebacker and earned plenty of fans due to his work with Barstool Sports. What Is Will Compton’s Net Worth?
It’s hard to pinpoint Compton’s career earnings over his nine-year NFL career, but some outlets project that he made roughly $7.2 million. Following his playing career and subsequent signing with Barstool, Compton received a contract that he says is worth over $3 million.
Most estimates put the former linebacker’s net worth around $5 million.
On a recent appearance on the “Pardon My Take” podcast, Compton went viral for downplaying the amount of money NFL veterans like himself earn in their playing careers.
Compton’s net worth includes both his career earnings in the NFL (which spans his contracts across nine seasons) as well as his current deal with Barstool Sports and any partnerships that he’s received through the podcast or his social media presence.
Compton recently won the $100,000 first-place prize on “Surviving Barstool,” which is Barstool Sports’ Survivor-style reality show that pits their personalities against each other.
Revisiting Compton’s NFL Career
Compton signed with Washington as an undrafted free agent to begin his NFL career in 2013. After originally battling for a roster spot, he developed into a quality depth piece for the franchise under Jay Gruden a year later. Compton started five games in 2014 and then started 25 games across 2015 and 2016.
Across that two-year run, the now 34-year-old former linebacker totaled over 200 tackles, two interceptions, eight passes defensed, and six tackles for loss.
After battling a Lisfranc sprain in his final season in the nation’s capital, Compton bounced between the Tennessee Titans and Las Vegas Raiders. In 2022, he appeared to sign a contract with the Atlanta Falcons practice squad but later announced he was unable to because of his partnership with Barstool Sportsbook.

In 2023, Compton officially announced his retirement from the NFL on social media.
However, he would remain in the spotlight, as his podcast with former Pro Bowl offensive lineman Taylor Lewan was taking off.
Compton’s Success as a Media Personality
During his time with the Titans, Compton grew close with Lewan. In 2019, the two teammates started a podcast called “Bussin’ with the Boys,” which is a part of the Barstool Sports’ podcast network.
“NFL players Will Compton and Taylor Lewan AKA ‘The Boys’ sit down with a guest and bring their ridiculous-yet-insightful personalities to discuss various topics surrounding their lives,” the show’s website details.

Compton has become a fan favorite at Barstool Sports. He and Lewan have had many high-profile guests on their show, including Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey, musician Jelly Roll, and comedian Shane Gillis.
Compton has amassed over 402,000 followers on X and 264,000 followers on Instagram. Also, his podcast has nearly 500,000 subscribers on YouTube.

Outside of the podcasting world, Compton married former Washington cheerleader and current fitness trainer Charo Bishop. The couple has one daughter together, and Compton often shares videos about fatherhood on his social media accounts.
