The Las Vegas Raiders have turned to 20 different head coaches to run the team, including 10 since the 2003 season.
Antonio Pierce is the latest to hold the position for the Silver and Black. Pierce earned the title by sparking the team while on interim duty in 2023, taking over when the Raiders had a 3-5 record and leading them to an 8-9 record overall.
Pierce now has his first staff assembled as a full-time head coach, one which includes a new offensive coordinator.

The Raiders assured themselves continuity on defense under Pierce. Patrick Graham was retained as defensive coordinator after the Raiders finished last season ranked 15th in total yards allowed — a notable improvement from their No. 28 slotting the previous season.
Graham is one prominent name who returns to Sin City. But nearly half of Pierce’s first staff is comprised of newcomers.
New Additions to the Raiders’ Coaching Staff
One of Pierce’s first acts as head coach was finding an offensive coordinator.
Getsy will be given the keys to the Raiders’ offense and aim to improve their 27th ranking in total yards. However, Getsy himself is seeking his own redemption after losing offensive coordinator duties last season with the Chicago Bears, who ranked 20th in total yards.
Meanwhile, Pierce will operate with Super Bowl-winning defensive coordinator Lewis as one of his top assistants. The Raiders’ head coach has called the long-time Cincinnati Bengals head coach one of his mentors. Lewis, who won Super Bowl 35 as an assistant with the Baltimore Ravens, will be Pierce’s top assistant head coach.

Lewis won’t be the only former NFL head coach on Pierce’s staff. Philbin, who helmed the Miami Dolphins from 2012 to 2015, will work in a senior offensive advisor role.
Elsewhere, Cregg comes over with an NFC title ring in tow. He was an assistant offensive line coach last season with the San Francisco 49ers before joining Pierce’s staff.
Lastly, Pierce has added two past star NFL players from the 2000s in “Cadillac” Williams and Manning. They will serve as RB and cornerbacks coach, respectively.
