2020 Dynasty Superflex Mock Draft from the 1.01

New to Dynasty Fantasy Football and want to find out how to attack your startup draft? I have you covered with the first part of my Superflex Dynasty Fantasy Football mock draft series. Let's mock.

Who doesn’t love fantasy football mock drafts? I know I do, so I am starting a 2020 Dynasty Superflex Mock Draft series, in which I will conduct Superflex mock drafts and provide analysis and strategic points from multiple draft positions.

Mock drafts are excellent for testing out various strategies and gauging player’s values. To make a mock draft beneficial to fantasy managers, you should either create a customizable ranking sheet or use our outstanding Superflex rankings as a guide as you conduct your mock draft. Similar to your actual drafts, be flexible. Fantasy Football drafts take a life of their own, so be ready to zag when others zig.

I begin my 2020 Dynasty Superflex Mock Draft series by taking on the first pick. A few league specs to keep in mind. This 12-team serpentine draft, we start QB-1, RB-2, WR-3, TE-1, FLEX-1, and one Superflex. There are NO kickers or defenses in this mock draft as it should be in all leagues, but I digress.

I conducted my 2020 Dynasty Superflex Mock Draft using the Fantasy Pros Mock Draft tool. Very customizable, and it is easy to use and must for all fantasy football owners to dive in and mock to you drop.

    Let’s get mocking.

    Round 1:  RB Christian McCaffrey

    Strategy

I debated selecting Patrick Mahomes in this 2020 Dynasty Superflex Mock format; however, McCaffrey is easily the best fantasy player in the game, and it’s challenging to discover many flaws in his 2020 fantasy outlook. There are many feasible quarterbacks to select, but a minuscule number of elite running backs.  McCaffrey has yet to miss a game in three seasons in the NFL and became the third player in NFL history to record 1,000+ receiving and 1,000+ rushing yards in the same year.

    Analysis

With zero competition for touches and check-down artist Teddy Bridgewater now the Carolina Panthers’ quarterback, combined with the new offensive minds Matt Rhule and Joe Brady guiding the Panthers offense, McCaffrey will look to surpass his monster 2019 season. The former Stanford Cardinal has recorded more receiving yards than any other running back in the NFL over the past seasons. If you take into account his receiving numbers alone, he would have ranked 12th among wideouts last season. The supreme dual-threat scored 151 more fantasy points than the next closest running back, making McCaffrey a no-brainer selection as the top pick overall.
