Who Is Stopping the Miami Dolphins’ New Offense? PFN Readers Share Their Ideas

With the 2024 NFL Draft wrapped up, the Miami Dolphins weren’t done adding to the roster.

As a result, they have brought in Odell Beckham Jr. to make their wide receiver room stronger than it was before.

Now, with Beckham on the squad, what could stop the reigning top offense in the NFL?

Who Can Stop the 2024 Miami Dolphins Offense?

In 2023, the Dolphins had the best offense in the NFL, edging the San Francisco 49ers and Detroit Lions out by a little bit.

Miami averaged 401.3 yards per game and was the only team in the NFL averaging over 400 yards per contest. The Dolphins also scored 61 touchdowns. The 49ers had the second-best offense in the league, averaging 398.4 yards per game with 61 touchdowns.

Following Beckham’s addition, the Miami offense will now feature quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, running backs Raheem Mostert and De’Von Achane, receivers Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, and Braxton Berrios, and right end Jonnu Smith.

Beckham is joining Miami on a one-year, $3 million deal worth up to $8.5 million with incentives.

Miami also took wide receivers Malik Washington and Tahj Washington in the 2024 NFL Draft. Malik had 110 receptions for 1,426 yards and nine touchdowns in his senior season, while Tahj had 59 receptions for 1,062 yards and eight touchdowns.

“Cold Weather,” said one fan, and many others.

USA Today’s Jarrett Bailey added on to the cold weather jokes, saying, “Weather below 70°.”

The jokes about the Dolphins’ perceived inability to play in cold weather were limitless.

NFL content creator and analyst Brett Kollmann joined the party, replying with, “Winter.”

After the Dolphins lost to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Wild Card Round in last year’s playoffs, one fan replied with a GIF of the mastermind of the Super Bowl champions’ defense, defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo.

Another funny reply was “Boats,” from PFN’s Brian Blewis.

This references the infamous photo taken on a yacht with Beckham and a handful of other New York Giants players that went viral for the team’s demise that followed that very image.

Now, with Beckham in Miami, many believe there’s a chance a new version could happen.

“The worst offensive line the world has ever seen,” said another fan.

In 2023, the Dolphins’ biggest offensive issue was the offensive line, which struggled heavily due to injury.

In 2024, their current starting lineup is, from left to right, Terron Armstead, Isaiah Wynn, Aaron Brewer, Robert Jones, and Austin Jackson.

The Dolphins lost both center Connor Williams and right guard Robert Hunt this offseason. The only major additions they made were signing Brewer and drafting Patrick Paul, with the second-round pick likely being the team’s swing tackle in 2024.

“Traditionally, Buffalo two times every year,” said another fan.

In 2023, the Bills swept the Dolphins, including the season finale, which cost Miami the division. The Bills have won each of the last four outings and 13 of the last 15 matchups between the two AFC East rivals.

The last time the Dolphins beat the Bills was in 2022 when they defeated Buffalo 21-19 in Miami.
