Top 10 2025 NFL Draft OT Rankings: Kelvin Banks Jr., Will Campbell the Early Favorites

After a 2024 offensive tackle class that had seven Round 1 picks, how will the 2025 NFL Draft OT group match up? Let's take a closer look.

As we transition to the 2025 NFL Draft cycle, who are the preliminary top 10 offensive tackle prospects in the upcoming class?

The 2024 class was well known for its overwhelming volume at the top of the board, and it’ll be tough to match up with — but the 2025 group has potential.

Way-Too-Early Top 10 OT Prospects in 2025 NFL Draft

Seven offensive tackles went in Round 1 of the 2024 NFL Draft: Joe Alt, JC Latham, Olu Fashanu, Taliese Fuaga, Troy Fautanu, Jordan Morgan, and Tyler Guyton. That number increases to eight if you count Graham Barton, who played tackle in college but might be moving to center for Tampa Bay at the next level.

The 2024 offensive line class was incredibly strong, and it provided the NFL with an infusion of talent on the blocking front that it drastically needed. Will the 2025 NFL Draft have the same level of volume and depth? Let’s take a closer look at the initial findings.

    10) Josh Simmons, Ohio State

The Ohio State offensive line will have several prospects worth watching in 2024. Donovan Jackson is the top name on the interior, and at tackle, Josh Simmons bears careful consideration. He played right tackle at San Diego State, then swapped to left in Columbus, Ohio.

At 6’5″, 310 pounds, play strength and anchor against power can be issues for Simmons, and he has trouble sealing lanes in the run game at times. But there’s no disputing his athleticism, flexibility, and freedom of motion — all tools that can help raise his ceiling.

    9) Marcus Mbow, Purdue

Pre-existing versatility often serves as a foil for prospects, and Marcus Mbow has that. He was a full-time starter at right guard in 2022, and he shifted to tackle in 2023. Now returning from injury, he has an opportunity to solidify his standing in the 2025 NFL Draft.

At 6’5″, 300 pounds, Mbow is a bit lighter than preferred at tackle. Nevertheless, his flexibility and leverage acquisition skills allow him to anchor power better than expected. And in pass protection, his lateral mobility and violent, active hands serve as strengths.

    8) Austin Barber, Florida

Quietly, the Florida offense put good things on tape in 2023. Graham Mertz enjoyed a bounce-back season throwing to Ricky Pearsall and Co. And on the offensive line, left tackle Austin Barber showed off legitimate early-round tools against SEC competition.

At 6’6″, 316 pounds, Barber is one of the more well-put-together tackle prospects in the 2025 group. Despite his size, he plays with good knee bend and natural leverage, and he has the foot speed, corrective athleticism, and recovery flexibility to thrive under pressure.

    7) Aireontae Ersery, Minnesota

The Minnesota Golden Gophers aren’t always known for their offense, but that unit will be worth watching in 2024. Max Brosmer should be an upgrade at quarterback, which will allow Daniel Jackson to shine. And the OT duo of Aireonte Ersery and Quinn Carroll returns as well.

Ersery in particular could be a 2025 NFL Draft riser with another year of development. The 6’6″, 336-pound behemoth has overwhelming power and strength at the point of attack, and he flashes impressive explosive capacity on the chase.

    6) Josh Conerly Jr., Oregon

The Oregon Ducks were in play for the Joe Moore Award in 2023, and Jackson Powers-Johnson wasn’t the only OL worthy of praise. Ajani Cornelius is an honorable mention on this list, but five-star talent Josh Conerly Jr. is the headlining prospect for the 2025 cycle.

At 6’4″, 305 pounds, Conerly is a bit undersized relative to normal expectations at tackle, but he has good proportional length. Not only that, but he has great lateral mobility, and many of the little things — like acquiring leverage and staying balanced — come very easy to him.

    5) Fernando Carmona Jr., Arkansas

There isn’t a long history of Group of Five-to-Power Five transfers at offensive tackle who’ve gone on to be first-round picks — in part because the transfer portal itself doesn’t have a long history in its current form. But Fernando Carmona Jr. can be the trend setter.

Watching Carmona’s tape at San Jose State, it’s clear he’s a cut above the rest. At 6’5″, 324 pounds, he’s an absolute mauler who combines energetic athleticism with ruthless torque and power exertion. At Arkansas, Carmona will have a chance to prove himself for good.

    4) Kelvin Banks Jr., Texas

The Texas Longhorns football team became a hub for media buzz along the way to reaching the College Football Playoff in 2023. That increased prestige gave visibility to talents like Kelvin Banks Jr., who could end up as an early-round pick next April.

At 6’4″, 324 pounds, Banks still has a lot of room to keep refining his game. He can be prone to lurches and plodding recalibration. But when he’s efficient with his technique, his power load and force output can be devastating for opponents, and he’s a plus athlete.

    3) Will Campbell, LSU

The OT1 battle for the 2025 NFL Draft is wide open right now, but the top three tackles on this list have the strongest claim to that title — at the moment. For evaluators who like good functional athleticism and natural skill, Will Campbell might be the favorite.

At 6’6″, 320 pounds, Campbell’s arm length is average, which may complicate his projection for some teams. But despite his lack of length, he’s surprisingly comfortable playing with controlled lean, and he has rare matching athleticism and fluidity at his size.

    2) Jonah Savaiinaea, Arizona

The Arizona Wildcats boasted a top-25 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft with Morgan. In the 2025 NFL Draft cycle, right tackle Jonah Savaiinaea could be another early-round blocker waiting in the wings.

At 6’6″, 330 pounds, Savaiinaea has similar proportions and efficient mass to first-round pick Fuaga. His explosiveness and freedom of motion on recovery stand out. Although his hand precision can be more consistent, the tools are all there to mold.

    1) Emery Jones Jr., LSU

The LSU Tigers have a potential early-round duo at the offensive tackle spot in the 2025 NFL Draft cycle. The highest-rated of the two — and the preseason OT1 on our list — is right tackle Emery Jones Jr., a former highly-touted recruit who stands around 6’6″, 322 pounds.

Campbell might be a bit more nimble than Jones, but Jones himself is a stellar athlete who combines strong matching agility and burst in recovery with impressive synergetic feel, square playing habits, violent power load and torque, and suffocating anchor strength.
