Reason for Dell’s Florida Visit Revealed
According to KPRC 2 Houston, Dell was in Florida to visit his mother.
The 2023 rookie is a native of Daytona Beach, Fla. He attended Mainland High School in the city and emerged as a Florida International University commit for football. He ultimately flipped from FIU to Alabama A&M, transferring to Independence Community College in Kansas.
Dell went on to transfer to Houston in 2020 and established himself as a back-to-back 1,000-yard wideout.
The Texans made him the 69th selection of the 2023 NFL Draft class, going in the third round. He formed a dynamic pairing with No. 2 overall pick C.J. Stroud before suffering a broken fibula that ended his 2023 season.
Dell is part of a Texans WR room that recently added All-Pro Stefon Diggs via an April trade and features breakout performer Nico Collins.
