The Kansas City Chiefs are not a team known to rest on its laurels. After all, Kansas City has been a three-time champion in the past five seasons.

It’s safe to say that the Chiefs will do anything that they can to build upon their dynasty, especially through the NFL Draft. Thursday night marks the night of new beginnings and a potential three-peat.

NFL Draft Analyst Mocks First-Round OT to Chiefs

There’s been several discussions on whether the Chiefs should draft a wide receiver in the first round at pick 32. Pro Football Network’s Dallas Robinson has put out his final mock draft of the 2024 cycle in which the team instead decides to protect Patrick Mahomes’ blindside, following the loss of left tackle Donovan Smith.

“While we’d like to give Patrick Mahomes another pass catcher at No. 32, we can’t ignore the hole the Chiefs currently have at left tackle,” Robinson wrote. “Don’t worry — we’ll give Kansas City a weapon on Day 2.

“Veteran blindside protector Donovan Smith remains a free agent after starting 12 regular-season games and four playoff contests for the Chiefs last year. While Andy Reid may believe that 2023 third-rounder Wanya Morris can step in, Patrick Paul gives the Chiefs an alternative and offers more upside.”

Kansas City Potentially Fills Team Needs in Latest Mock

Robinson continued to add to Kansas City’s offense, beginning with Washington wide receiver Jalen McMillan at No. 64. McMillan tallied 164 catches for 2,143 yards and 17 touchdowns in four seasons with the Huskies. He ran a 4.47 40-yard dash and had a 37″ vertical jump at the NFL Scouting Combine.

As for Round 3, Robinson mocked Mississippi State cornerback DeCamerion Richardson to the Chiefs with the No. 95 selection. Following the trade of L’Jarius Sneed to the Tennessee Titans, Kansas City could afford to add to its defensive backfield. Richardson would add an ability to stick his nose into plays and make tackles. He had 85 in his junior season and 79 as a senior.

Head of NFL International Player Pathway Discusses Louis Rees-Zammit’s Switch to American Football

Some may think that Welsh rugby star Louis Rees-Zammit’s switch from his former sport to American football is a marketing gimmick. James Cook, who is the head of the NFL International Player Pathway, dispelled those rumors to Alex Spink of Planet Rugby.

“As we speak, Louis is in Texas catching balls with Patrick Mahomes,” Cook said. “No amount of marketing can make that happen.

“The team that just won back-to-back Super Bowls not only signed him, they actively recruited him. The head coach was calling his phone every day, the General Manager was calling his phone every day. You can’t buy that.”

All-Time Great Chiefs Pass Rusher Working Out With Felix Anudike-Uzomah

Tamba Hali is one of the greatest players to put on a Chiefs uniform. He played his entire career in Kansas City (12 seasons) and had 89.5 sacks, 596 tackles, 105 tackles for loss, 159 quarterback hits, 33 forced fumbles, and eight fumble recoveries.
