Quarterback will always be the most important position in football. But the offensive line is second. With 26 offensive tackles selected, here is a full list of those players taken off the board in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Which Offensive Tackles Were Drafted in the 2024 NFL Draft?
Joe Alt, Notre Dame | Los Angeles Chargers
Round 1, Pick 5
The first non-skill position player off the board was Notre Dame OT Joe Alt.
Considered the best offensive lineman in this class, he will be an immediate starter and an anchor for a Chargers offensive line that needs to be dominant to execute new head coach Jim Harbaugh’s run-heavy scheme.
Alt stands at an impressive 6’8″, 315 pounds. Despite his size, he is an explosive athlete capable of pushing back oncoming defenders. Justin Herbert will undoubtedly enjoy his new shield.
JC Latham, Alabama | Tennessee Titans
Round 1, Pick 7
The second non-skill position player off the board went just two picks later.
Alabama OT JC Latham will help shore up a Titans offensive line that underperformed last season.
An extremely explosive and forceful player, Latham is capable of generating incredible push with his power drive and his rotational torque. In a draft that features an incredibly large number of talented offensive linemen, Latham is right up there with the best of them.
Olu Fashanu, Penn State | New York Jets
Round 1, Pick 11
In a savvy move, the Jets traded down one spot, knowing the Vikings were not going to steal their guy. They could’ve gone Brock Bowers here, but instead, they opted to bolster their offensive line, selecting Penn State OT Olu Fashanu.
At 6’6″, 321 pounds, Fashanu is one of the most complete offensive linemen of the 2024 class.
He’s a long, strong, powerful blocker who also brings high-end short-area mobility, rare recovery athleticism, a near-unshakable center of gravity, and the torquing capacity and core strength to finish blocks.

The Jets’ entire season rests on Aaron Rodgers remaining upright, something he was able to do for exactly four plays last season. Fashanu will immediately contribute to protecting Rodgers for an entire season.
Taliese Fuaga, Oregon State | New Orleans Saints
Round 1, Pick 14
The trend of offensive linemen going early and often continues. Rumored to be taking an OL all month, the Saints followed through, selecting Oregon State OT Taliese Fuaga.
Fuaga’s elite power and elite explosiveness serve as high-ceiling traits, but he is much more refined than that. Fuaga projects as a Week 1 starter, who can hopefully help give Derek Carr more time to actually connect with Chris Olave on those deep balls.
Amarius Mims, Georgia | Cincinnati Bengals
Round 1, Pick 18
The Cincinnati Bengals have a pretty complete offense. All they need is a better line. Georgia OT Amarius Mims will certainly help.
Mims is not quite on the level of Alt or Fashanu, but he’s firmly in the next tier. At 6’7″, 340 pounds, he’s a dominating talent with high-end athleticism both in space and in short areas, and he has suffocating strength and deadly power capacity.
While more of a project than the OTs taken before him, Mims’ upside is as high as anyone’s. He will help protect Joe Burrow for years to come.
Troy Fautanu, Washington | Pittsburgh Steelers
Round 1, Pick 20
The incredible run of offensive linemen continues with the Steelers selecting Washington’s Troy Fautanu. Tasked with protecting Michael Penix Jr.‘s front side, Fautanu displayed all of the necessary athletic components to succeed at the NFL level.
At either tackle or guard, Fautanu can be an impact starter and a difference-making presence early and often, and his athleticism and football IQ serve to afford him vast schematic versatility on Day 1.
Jordan Morgan, Arizona | Green Bay Packers
Round 1, Pick 25
We are seeing a bunch of OTs go in the first round. The Packers grabbed a good one in Arizona’s Jordan Morgan.
At 6’5″ and a playing weight of around 320 pounds, Morgan has great size, power, and strength. He’s an elite athlete with impeccable leveraging skills, balance, and bend — and he didn’t lose any mobility in 2023 after returning from an ACL tear.
There are still areas where Morgan can improve, but he projects to be a competent starter early in his career, and he can keep building on that foundation toward an impact starter ceiling.
Tyler Guyton, Oklahoma | Dallas Cowboys
Round 1, Pick 29
It’s been over a decade since the Cowboys last rebuilt their offensive line with Tyron Smith, Zack Martin, and Travis Frederick. Only Martin remains with the team. Thus, the team needs to do it again.
Oklahoma’s Tyler Guyton is here to help.

While Guyton is raw in some areas, his pass sets are surprisingly clean for his experience level. He has great knee bend, elbow load, and balance when matching rushers vertically, and his elite athleticism allows him to recover ground and erase rushing lanes wherever they appear.
Guyton is not as pro-ready as most of the guys taken before him, but the Cowboys need to replace Smith. They believe they have their…Guyton.
