Former Western Kentucky WR Malachi Corley will be embarking on the next stop of his football journey when he hears his name called during the 2024 NFL Draft.
Before his NFL career gets started, let’s learn more about Corley and how he projects at the next level.
How Tall Is Malachi Corley?
At the NFL Combine, Corley measured in at 5’11”, which is just a little below the NFL average of 6’0 1/2″ at the position.
The tallest wide receivers in the NFL are Mike Evans, Allen Lazard, Equanimeous St. Brown, and A.T. Perry, all coming in at 6’5″.
The shortest, on the other hand, is Deonte Harty, coming in at 5’6″. He’s followed by KaVontae Turpin, Greg Dortch, and Rondale Moore, all standing at 5’7″.
How Much Does Corley Weigh?

How Old Is Corley?
Born March 21, 2002, Corley will be 22 years old during his rookie season in the NFL.
While Corley might be older than plenty of other prospects, at 22 years old, he is relatively young for a four-year player in college.

Born in Orange City, Fla., Corley later moved to Kentucky, attending Campbellsville High School.

Following his high school career, Corley was a two-star prospect, according to 247Sports. He ended up committing to the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers, which is where he spent his entire college career.
Revisiting Corley’s College Career
Initially recruited as a cornerback, Corley moved to wide receiver before his first game. As a freshman, he played in nine games, catching six passes for 75 yards.
However, in 2021, he caught 73 passes for 691 yards and seven touchdowns.
The 2022 season was truly Corley’s breakout year, though. He played in 14 games, catching 101 passes for 1,295 yards and 11 touchdowns.
Corley then caught 79 more passes for 984 yards and 11 more touchdowns as a senior in 2023. He was a first-team All-CUSA selection in both 2022 and 2023.
Corley’s Potential in the NFL
According to Pro Football Network draft analyst Ian Cummings, Corley is a top-64 prospect and could field top-50 consideration from teams in need of a wide receiver.
“Round 1 may be a bit rich considering the projection required for Corley’s three-level profile, but in the right offense, he has game-breaking potential,” said Cummings.

“Nevertheless, in a space-dominated modern NFL, Corley has the athletic and mental tools to dominate defenders. Comparisons to Deebo Samuel are often made because of Corley’s physical profile, and while Samuel is more refined, those pure physical comparisons are warranted. Simply get him the ball and let him eat.”
Some of Corley’s best attributes include his dense frame, explosiveness, hand strength, and ability to break tackles after the catch. Some of his weaknesses, however, include lacking long speed, his below-average length, and his non-elite catch radius.
