Richardson has the fans in Indianapolis excited for his future and what he may be able to achieve with their beloved Colts. After Monday night’s WNBA Draft, the city has another superstar to root for with the selection of Clark.

Naturally, the QB for the state’s NFL team took to social media to welcome another sports star to the city, and at the same time, he offered up a bit of a challenge as well.

“Welcome to Indy @CaitlinClark22! Might need the 1v1???,” Richardson said.

Of course, the Fever’s official X (formerly known as Twitter) page caught wind of the welcome and offered Richardson a light-hearted warning after his challenge.

“Careful what you wish for 😉,” the Fever’s official account said.

While Clark is known for being one of the best shooters of our generation, no one should sleep on Richardson and his ability to hoop as his skills on the basketball court are well-documented.

We’ll have to defer to the basketball version of a sniper on this one, as Clark is truly in a league of her own; it would still be fun to see it unfold between two Indianapolis stars in the making.

Clark’s Contract Details: How Do They Compare to NFL Players?

Clark who was drafted No. 1 overall in the WNBA, signed a four-year, $338,056 deal according to the WNBA CBA. While it’s more than a respectable salary when looking at real-life wages across our country, it is alarmingly low compared to other professional athletes in the country’s most popular sports leagues.
