Cameras will soon focus on the joy and euphoria of 2024 NFL Draft prospects’ homes starting on April 25. Olumuyiwa Fashanu could be one of the players with the focus on him if he chooses to allow access.
That’ll likely mean his mom and dad will be captured in the moment. But what else is there to know about his parents, including if one or both have their own athletic background? Here’s a dive into the people responsible for raising the potential first-round offensive tackle selection.
Who Are Olu Fashanu’s Parents?
Paige and Anthony Fashanu hold the title of mother and father of the former Penn State trench star.
They were in State College, Pa., and other college cities to watch Olu dominate pass rushers and oncoming defensive linemen. Both witnessed their son earn the Rimington-Pace Big 10 Offensive Lineman of the Year in 2023.
Olu has many fans and analysts believing he’ll be a Day 1 pick — with numerous mock drafts, including here at PFN, predicting he’ll land between Nos. 10 and 15 overall. PFN’s Joe Broback, meanwhile, predicted the Nittany Lion star landing at No. 6 to the New York Giants in his April 13 mock draft.
Regardless of where he lands, Olu will likely see an ecstatic mom and dad, so it’s time to learn more about both, beginning with his father.
Getting To Know Fashanu’s Father Anthony
Anthony Fashanu comes with a technical background.
He serves as an IT (information technology) manager for the American Society of Landscape Architects.
He has shown to have an active presence on social media. He regularly posts his son’s accomplishments on X (formerly known as Twitter), but one of his more recent retweets came from a Tennessee Titans fan hoping to see his son land there at No. 7.

Getting To Know Fashanu’s Mother Paige
Is Paige Fashanu just as active on social media? Or does she prefer to stay out of the limelight?
She originally pursued a career in education in Nigeria. Her mother, Olu’s grandmother, was an educator in the country. Ultimately, Paige settled in the United States.
Not much else is known of Paige. Although she gave birth to the future Nittany Lion and NFL offensive tackle in Waldorf, Md., she later went on to watch her son establish himself as a future star at Gonzaga College High School in the nation’s capital.
She helped raise the city of Washington, D.C.,’s sixth-ranked prospect for the 2020 class, as ranked by 247Sports.
Does Fashanu Have Any Siblings?
Olu has one sibling, a sister named Angie.
Angie attended St. John’s University in the New York region after graduating high school in 2017.
Not much else is known about Angie Fashanu. However, she absorbed most of her knowledge along with her brother by being around their grandmother.

According to State College Magazine in 2023, their grandmother would look at the activity books the teachers had sent home with the students and then chart out a plan for how many pages they would complete each day. The grandmother did this to ensure that the books were completed well before her grandchildren returned to school in the fall.
This tactic clearly helped lead to the Fashanus’ moves to Penn State and St. John’s. Olu majored in supply chain and information systems.
While the NFL world may not know much about his immediate family, they will likely have a spotlight on them on the first night of the draft.
