Who Are Tyler Nubin’s Parents? Everything You Need To Know About Rodney and Sherese Nubin

    Published on

Football has been a huge part of the Nubin family, as members from both sides of the family tree have played Division I college football.

Former Minnesota safety Tyler Nubin is coming off of a fantastic career at Minnesota. He could have declared for the NFL Draft last year, but he decided to return for a fifth season, and it ended up being a great move for him.

He capped it off this year with a first-team All-Big Ten season. He was tied for sixth in the country with five interceptions and was also named an Associated Press Second Team All-American.

He put together a solid day at the NFL Combine and is projected as an eventual plus starter at the safety position. Right now, where he will go in the draft is still up in the air, but he has a chance to be a very good NFL player in the future.

Football has been important in his family, with members from both sides playing Division I football.

    Who Are Tyler Nubin’s Parents?

Nubin was born on June 14, 2001, in St. Charles, Ill., to Rodney and Sherese Nubin.

Football has been an important part of both sides of his family, as he has had relatives on each end who played football.

Getting To Know Nubin’s Father Rodney

Football has been huge in the Nubin family, as Rodney was a talented football player in his own right. He played college football at Eastern Michigan. He started his career as a running back but eventually moved to the defensive side of the football.

He played at Eastern Michigan from 1993-1997. He finished his collegiate career with five interceptions. Tyler also had an uncle, Steve King, who played safety at Michigan. He played with two of the best defensive backs in NFL history, Ty Law and Charles Woodson.

Getting To Know Nubin’s Mother Sherese

Sherese’s personal and professional life aren’t as well known, but she is active on X (formerly known as Twitter) supporting her sons and their playing careers.

    Does Nubin Have Any Siblings?

Tyler has one younger brother named Jordan. If Minnesota fans recognize that name, it is because, like his older brother Tyler, he is also a member of the Minnesota football team.

While Tyler was a fantastic defensive player for Minnesota, Jordan is currently a talented running back for the Gophers. As a sophomore last season, he rushed for 559 yards and three touchdowns.

He figures to be a focal point of the offense next year and has already made a change in the offseason. Jordan wore No. 30 last season but has changed his number to 27, the number Tyler wore in 2023. That is also the same number their uncle Steve wore during his playing days at Michigan.
