At the NFL Scouting Combine, Issac measured at 6’4″. He’s on the taller side of edge rushers and sits in the 69th percentile, per Mock Draftable. His height is comparable to Notre Dame edge rusher is Javontae Jean-Baptiste, who measured in at 6’4 5/8″.
How Much Does Isaac Weigh?
While at the NFL Combine, Isaac weighed in at 247 pounds. His weight is in the ninth percentile of edge rushers and compares to Tennessee Titans linebacker Arden Key, who is 240 pounds.
How Old Is Issac?
Isaac was born on Oct. 4, 2001, and is 22 years old. The Athletic’s Dane Brugler wrote that the average prospect is 23.24 years old, which would make Isaac younger than his peers in this class. The Ringer’s Nora Princiotti wrote that the average age of a first-round selection dropped from 22.6 in 2000 to 21.7 in 2018.
The Penn State alumnus grew up with three siblings, two brothers (Kyle and Y’ashua) and a sister (Tadj), who grew up with developmental disabilities.
He is the son of Lisa Wiltshire-Isaac, who was born in Curepe, Trinidad and Tobago, and moved to Brooklyn, N.Y., when she was 11, per The Athletic’s Dan Pompei. His father is Alex Isaac.
What School Did Isaac Go To?
After playing at Canarsie High School in Brooklyn, where he had 210 tackles and 39 sacks, Isaac attended Penn State. He played four seasons of varsity football. While at Penn State, Isaac majored in rehabilitation and human services.

Isaac, a Brooklyn, native, is coming from a long line of Penn State defenders who have been selected highly in the NFL Draft. Micah Parsons (Dallas Cowboys), Yetur Gross-Matos (San Francisco 49ers), Odafe Oweh (Baltimore Ravens), and Arnold Ebiketie (Atlanta Falcons) all played for the Nittany Lions during head coach James Franklin’s tenure and under DCs turned HCs Brent Pry (Virginia Tech) and Manny Diaz (Duke).
Revisiting Isaac’s College Career
The defensive end had an intriguing college career, playing 11 games as a true freshman in 2019 with 14 tackles and 1.5 sacks.
He followed it up with 13 tackles and 1.5 sacks in his sophomore season shortened by the COVID-19 pandemic. He missed the entirety of his 2021 season with an Achilles injury and returned the following year.
His 2022 season was a success, starting all 13 games at defensive end and recording 28 tackles (15 solo), a team-high 11 tackles for loss, four sacks, and eight quarterback hurries. He earned a spot on the All-Big Ten Third Team from coaches and was an honorable mention by the media.
Isaac’s Potential In the NFL
Pro Football Network’s Ian Cummings is high on Isaac’s potential, even after making his way back from the Achilles injury in 2021.
“The tape alone serves as a compelling argument for teams to take Isaac early in the 2024 NFL Draft,” Cummings wrote. “But once you hear his story, and what he’s had to work through to get to this point, it’ll only make that feeling stronger.
“There was always an expectation that Isaac would make it to the NFL one day. He was a high four-star and top-100 national recruit coming out of high school and joined a Penn State program that’s churned out EDGE prospects like Micah Parsons, Odafe Oweh, and Arnold Ebiketie.
“He has early-starter utility at the NFL level and could grow into an impact starter across multiple phases. At almost 6’5″, 250 pounds, with near-34″ arms, Isaac is a prototype with an all-encompassing physical profile. He’s incredibly explosive, energized on the lateral plane, and flexible beneath the arc. Not only that, he also generates shocking power at contact and has the strength to set the edge in run defense.”
