With the 22nd pick, the Philadelphia Eagles may not be seen as a major player on the first day of the 2024 NFL Draft. That doesn’t mean they won’t be, though. With three picks in the top 64 overall, Philadelphia has plenty of ammo to trade up and swoop in on a top prospect they could be interested in.
Should a move happen, what could a deal look like for the Eagles, and which teams would be willing to deal with general manager Howie Roseman once again?
Likely Teams Eagles Could Trade Up With
Roseman has never been shy about moving up or back in previous drafts. Since Roseman re-claimed control of player personnel in 2016, the Eagles have traded up five times in the first round of the NFL Draft. With two weeks before the start of the 2024 NFL Draft, Philadelphia’s aggressive executive could be at it again.
It’s important to remember that any trade made on draft night is always centered around value. What a team gives up could be as important as what they receive.
Most draft picks have a certain numbered point value to them. In the case of Drafttek.com, the website breaks down each valued draft pick in the full seven-round event.
It allows fans and even organizations to see how deals can be made that work for two sides. For example, the 22nd overall pick that the Eagles own is valued at 780 points. Their two second-round picks are valued at a combined 770 points.
With those valued numbers in mind, using our friends at DraftTek, let’s look at some teams that may be willing to make some pick-swap trades with the Birds and what those deals could cost.
New York Jets
Projected Trade: Jets Trade 10th Overall pick (1,300 points) to Eagles for 22nd overall pick, 50th overall pick, and 2025 third-round pick (1,355 points)
The Jets are one team that may be willing to move down in the NFL Draft, but the Eagles may not have the assets New York would want to go back 12 spots.
Philadelphia will be looking to make at least one draft selection in the second round this year, but a trade up for a top offensive lineman, or the best defensive player of the draft class, could be too enticing to pass up. At the very least, this deal could help transform Philadelphia’s entire defensive unit.
Likely Targets: OT Olu Fashanu, TE Brock Bowers, DE Dallas Turner, CB Terrion Arnold
Indianapolis Colts
Projected Trade: Colts trade 15th overall pick and 117th overall pick (1,110 points) to Eagles for 22nd overall pick and 53rd overall pick (1,150 points)
We’re now getting into the realm of true possibility for the Birds. Philadelphia could use some substantial help on the defensive side of the ball, but trading up for arguably the best right tackle prospect in Fuaga may be something the Eagles are willing to discuss.
At the very least, picking up an additional fourth-round pick would even things out in this trade that would give Indianapolis more immediate bites of the apple early and provide some draft depth for Philadelphia.
Likely Targets: OT Taliese Fuaga, CB Quinyon Mitchell, CB Terrion Arnold, OT JC Latham
Los Angeles Rams
Projected Trade: Rams trade 19th overall pick (875 points) to Eagles for 22nd overall pick and 120th overall pick (834 points)
A trade up to 19 could probably take the Eagles out of the running for Fuaga, but it might keep them within striking distance for both Mitchell and Iowa’s Cooper DeJean.
Both defensive stars have had excellent workouts during the scouting cycle and should warrant plenty of suitors. Other offensive linemen like Troy Fautanu and Georgia’s Amarius Mims also make sense for the organization.
Likely Targets: CB Quinyon Mitchell, DB Cooper DeJean, OT Troy Fautanu, OT Amarius Mims
Jacksonville Jaguars
Projected Trade: Jaguars trade 17th overall pick, 96th overall pick, and 114th overall pick (1,132 points) to Eagles for 22nd overall pick and 53rd overall pick (1,150 points)
Jacksonville is in a difficult situation. Their franchise quarterback is looking for a new deal soon, and they just lost their top offensive weapon in free agency. Picking up multiple picks in the first two rounds of a loaded receiver class makes a lot of sense for the organization.

To make this trade fair, the Jags would have to give up their third- and fourth-round picks, but to get this class of wideouts would be worth it. On the Eagles’ side, the added mid-round picks would be helpful for depth, and the 17th pick would keep them in striking distance for a top overall player.
Likely Targets: CB Terrion Arnold, DB Cooper DeJean, DE Jared Verse, OT JC Latham
