Who’s ready for UFL football games today? Week 1 saw the USFL conference take a commanding lead as the Birmingham Stallions, Memphis Showboats, and Michigan Panthers all notched their first wins. Can the XFL conference bounce back after a rough week?
The lone winner in the XFL conference, the San Antonio Brahmas, will get a chance to stay atop the UFL with a matchup against the Showboats. Meanwhile, the Stallions will look to continue their semi-pro dominance over the Panthers.
With two other matchups kicking off this weekend, what is the UFL schedule for Week 2? Here’s a look at the UFL football games today, including the start time, TV channels, and more.
What UFL Games Are On Today?
Who faces off in the second week of UFL football games today? With no byes, all eight teams go head to head again in Week 2 as the UFL establishes its tiers. Here’s a look at each UFL football game this weekend.
San Antonio Brahmas at Memphis Showboats
- Date: Saturday, April 6, 2024
- Start time: Noon ET
- Channel: ESPN
The weekend starts in Memphis as the Showboats host the Brahmas for Memphis’ home debut. Both teams emerged victorious in Week 1, with the Brahmas shocking the league by taking down the D.C. Defenders. While the Showboats struggled at times, a week of reps and game time can help turn things around. Who will remain undefeated?
The Showboats were able to eke out a win last week, but the competition is stiffer in Week 2. QB Case Cookus threw for 200 yards and a touchdown against the Houston Roughnecks but was running for his life in the backfield due to some less-than-stellar offensive line play.
Meanwhile, San Antonio QB Chase Garbers posted one of the better stat lines of the week, completing 19 of 25 passes for 158 yards and three total touchdowns. With Garbers and the Brahmas’ playmakers finding chemistry early, the Showboats will need a better performance to stay unbeaten this week.
Arlington Renegades at St. Louis Battlehawks
- Date: Saturday, April 6, 2024
- Start time: 8 p.m. ET
- Channel: ABC
While the St. Louis Battlehawks were in action last week, they played away, and professional football is back in St. Louis after missing the playoffs in 2023. Hopefully, the home crowd will give them an added boost to find the first win of the season. While not an awful performance, the Battlehawks struggled last week against Michigan, losing on a 64-yard field goal from Panthers kicker Jake Bates with three seconds remaining.

St. Louis QB AJ McCarron completed 24 of 37 passes for 216 yards and two touchdowns but struggled with a Panthers defense that spent a lot of time in the offensive backfield. While the Arlington Renegades didn’t look much better in Week 1, some improvement is necessary for the Battlehawks to make a championship run.
Speaking of the Renegades, Arlington has some areas to clean up after their magical championship chase last season. Firmly outmatched by Birmingham in Week 1, the Renegades hope to bounce back in today’s UFL football game. Can QB Luis Perez keep the deep passing game going? The Renegades will have a tough challenge with The Dome at America’s Center ready and packed for action.
Birmingham Stallions at Michigan Panthers
- Date: Sunday, April 7, 2024
- Start time: Noon ET
- Channel: ESPN
An intraconference matchup between the undefeated Stallions and Panthers should see one team stay atop the USFL Conference. After a slow start to the first half, QB Matt Corral and the offense erupted against Arlington in the second half as Birmingham took a double-digit lead in Week 1.
While Corral dazzled on the field, the Panthers cannot forget about Adrian Martinez. Head coach Skip Holtz has a penchant for utilizing a dual-threat QB system. Like Alex McGough’s talents last season, expect to see some designed runs from Martinez and the Stallions.
While the Panthers squeaked out a win in Week 1, their test will be much more challenging this week. The RB tandem of C.J. Marable and Ricky Person Jr. ran all over Arlington last week. While the Panthers showed they have a stout front seven on defense, Corral and Martinez’s mobility adds another layer of complexity to the game. With one of the best offensive lines in the UFL, can Birmingham continue to dominate semi-pro football?
Houston Roughnecks at D.C. Defenders
- Date: Sunday, April 7, 2024
- Start time: 4 p.m. ET
- Channel: Fox
The final UFL football game today will see the Roughnecks or Defenders earn their first win. Week 1 was rough for both franchises, which tied for the least number of points scored (12) and never led during their season openers. Which team will bounce back in Week 2?
The Defenders’ Week 1 performance was underwhelming. With veteran QB Jordan Ta’amu returning under center, hopes were high for the Defenders to keep their momentum churning from last season. However, the loss of RB Abram Smith was felt heavily as D.C.’s pass-heavy offense struggled to move the ball.

Ta’amu completed just 25 of his 45 pass attempts and was sacked four times, the most of any QB in Week 1. Additionally, the Defenders gained a mere 43 yards on 13 rushes. The Roughnecks were no better on the ground, gaining 42 yards on just 11 attempts, with QB Jarrett Guarantano leading the team with 22.
Both teams will need to find more consistency on the ground to help their offenses start moving in the right direction. In what could be one of the lower-scoring affairs of the weekend, it may not take many points to win this UFL football game today.
