Oregon QB Bo Nix is not projected to be one of the first four quarterbacks off the board. That means the list of teams that could potentially draft him is large. Let’s take a look at the organizations most likely to select Nix in the 2024 NFL Draft.

What Is Nix’s NFL Draft Projection?
If there’s one thing bettors definitely shouldn’t do, it’s lay -175 on the Broncos to specifically take this QB. The only instances in which it makes sense to take short odds on a player to go to a specific team is with the first few picks of the draft. After that, there are too many moving parts and too many things that can happen.
The Broncos obviously need a QB with Jarrett Stidham as their current top guy. They’re certainly going to draft someone. These odds make it seem very likely it will be Nix. That’s just not a bet worth making.
The Vikings at +400 are interesting. Although they’ve been linked to JJ McCarthy following Kirk Cousins signing with the Atlanta Falcons, the Michigan QB may very well be gone by the time they pick at No. 11. It would still be a shock if they took Nix there, but they could trade down and potentially draft him later. Those odds aren’t bad, but I am not confident enough to make the bet.
I wish the odds on the Raiders were a little bit longer. Given that they have Gardner Minshew, they are in a spot where they don’t absolutely need to take a QB as high as possible, but still want to take a shot on someone. Nix is the perfect type of guy for the Raiders to take. He can open the season as the QB2 and potentially take over if he’s better than expected or Minshew is worse than expected.
The Giants’ odds simultaneously feel realistic and too short. We know they need a quarterback. What we don’t know is if they plan to take one this year, particularly in the first or second round.
Nix would be a good option to put behind Daniel Jones and potentially take over midseason. These odds are not bad. If you’re committed to making a bet on Nix’s landing spot, I would go with the Giants.
After the Giants, the odds get much longer. However, that’s not necessarily a bad thing. This is one of those situations where I wish we could just bet the field here. There’s a good chance Nix does not go to one of the teams with the four shortest odds. Unfortunately, guessing which one of the other 28 teams he goes to is quite the challenge.

I would rule out the Commanders and Patriots, as they are likely taking a QB at Nos. 2 and 3 overall, and the Rams, as they are content with Matthew Stafford. The Saints are not a bad bet. Derek Carr isn’t going anywhere, but Nix could be a serviceable backup and the type of guy who potentially emerges if Carr has to miss some time due to injury.
The Titans are probably not taking a QB after drafting Will Levis last year. But they did not use a first round pick on him. That leaves the door open to them taking another guy. With that said, I wouldn’t bet them to specifically draft Nix.
Nix’s Scouting Report
Nix is the fifth-ranked quarterback and 32nd overall player on PFN’s NFL Draft Analyst Ian Cummings’ big board.
Nix is a veteran with more experience than any 2024 QB, and his accuracy and savvy distribution ability stem from that. But he’s also quietly a high-end creation threat with rare arm elasticity and playmaking potential. He doesn’t have the strongest arm, but in the right system, he can be a quality starter.
