With all the top players signed in free agency and just one month until the NFL’s annual selection event, it’s time for teams to focus more on this year’s NFL Draft with the fourth edition of our insider 2024 NFL Mock Draft.

1) Chicago Bears (from CAR): Caleb Williams, QB, USC
When we turned in our first 2024 NFL Mock Draft in mid-December, Caleb Williams was the pick, and he has been in each one since.
The Bears have spent a ton of time on Williams, and he will finally become the first franchise quarterback for the team since … Jim McMahon was selected in the first round in 1982 (No. 5. pick).

2) Washington Commanders: Jayden Daniels, QB, LSU
Jayden Daniels is one of the quarterbacks many in the scouting world started to become higher on the more they watched his tape this offseason.
Some NFL teams will be concerned with his lack of weight, but in the end, he’s a very talented passer, and from talking to coaching sources, he also fits the mobile type of quarterback that OC Kliff Kingsbury covets.

3) New England Patriots: Drake Maye, QB, North Carolina
Sure, the team needs to address their left tackle opening, but quarterback is the significant need for the future at the most important position in the NFL.
While some teams have LSU QB Daniels higher on their board, there’s a drop-off after Drake Maye at the position, and the New England Patriots can’t wait to select one.

4) Arizona Cardinals: Marvin Harrison Jr., WR, Ohio State
When we did our first mock draft in December, the thought was Marvin Harrison Jr. would not get past the Cardinals; nothing has changed in that regard.
He’s not only the best available player overall for this class. Multiple scouting sources told us he’s the best wide receiver they have graded for any draft in years. The position happens to be Arizona’s most significant need.

5) Los Angeles Chargers: Dallas Turner, EDGE, Alabama
Dallas Turner, widely regarded as the top available edge rusher for this draft, makes sense to go off the board here. The team needs some answers for the future at the position due to an aging roster.
Wide receiver, where the team moved on from two starters, is also a consideration, although this will be a run-first team with new head coach Jim Harbaugh.

6) New York Giants: Malik Nabers, WR, LSU
While a quarterback of the future is a consideration, the value doesn’t match up to this draft capital.
The wide receiver spot on this team has been a weakness for years and is the call in this 2024 NFL Mock Draft with the talented Malik Nabers. Coaching sources tell us the LSU WR likely will line up at the “Z” (move) position at the next level.

7) Tennessee Titans: Joe Alt, OT, Notre Dame
Despite their free agency spending thus far, the Tennessee Titans still have a lot of future needs to fill. After releasing LT Andre Dillard recently after just one season, left tackle becomes their top need for the seasons ahead.
Joe Alt, who scouting sources see as at least an 8–10-year starter, is the easy call here. They can then fill defensive needs as the draft progresses.

8) Atlanta Falcons: Jared Verse, EDGE, Florida State
It’s all about defense for the Falcons in the 2024 NFL Draft. They must add as many pass rushers as possible, and Jared Verse should be next up on the board after Turner.

9) Chicago Bears: Rome Odunze, WR, Washington
While the Bears have a significant edge rushing need, the value doesn’t match up with the ninth pick in this 2024 NFL Mock Draft, and Rome Odunze would be a much better value.
The Bears need to replace WR Darnell Mooney’s role on the outside. Veteran WR Keenan Allen, who was recently acquired via trade, turns 32 next month and is in the final year of his contract, and his best work is on the inside.

10) New York Jets: Olumuyiwa Fashanu, OT, Penn State
While the team signed veteran left tackle Tyron Smith, they did so for only one season. The New York Jets have not been able to develop their future at left tackle after striking out with Mekhi Becton, but they can get it right by selecting the talented Olumuyiwa Fashanu here.

11) Minnesota Vikings: J.J. McCarthy, QB, Michigan
While some scouting sources we’ve spoken with have graded J.J. McCarthy as a mid-second-round pick, the reality is that we have a situation where at least 10 teams don’t know who will be starting for them at the position past this season.
The Vikings will be selecting their quarterback of the future in this draft, and McCarthy, who we’re told is still expected to go off the board in the first round — likely in the upper half — is the call here to be their starter for years to come.

12) Denver Broncos: Quinyon Mitchell, CB, Toledo
Just like Max Melton, Toledo cornerback Quinyon Mitchell has dramatically improved his draft stock with an outstanding offseason (Senior Bowl and NFL Scouting Combine) and has moved up in the mind of scouting sources from the 20s to the early double digits.
Mitchell will not only be one of the top defensive players off the board in the first round but should also be the first cornerback off the board to the Denver Broncos, who need a starter opposite Patrick Surtain II.

13) Las Vegas Raiders: JC Latham, OT, Alabama
JC Latham, a left tackle in high school, mostly played right tackle at Alabama. The Las Vegas Raiders have an opening on the right side after veteran Jermaine Eluemunor signed with the New York Giants.
If they don’t go quarterback here or trade up for one, improving their offensive line for the future remains a significant need, and they could do so with the talented Latham.

14) New Orleans Saints: Taliese Fuaga, OT, Oregon State
The New Orleans Saints have major questions on the left side of their offensive line where Taliese Fuaga could start immediately (left tackle or left guard). He’s one of the top offensive linemen available in this class and would be a solid value with the 14th pick of this 2024 NFL Mock Draft.

15) Indianapolis Colts: Nate Wiggins, CB, Clemson
The Indianapolis Colts have one of their players at cornerback penciled in as a starter (JuJu Brents) but have an opening on the other side.
They have other needs, but Nate Wiggins is the arguably best player available on the board for general manager Chris Ballard.

One scouting source called him one of the best players available in the 2024 NFL Draft, and the versatile Cooper DeJean could line up at more than one spot for new head coach Mike Macdonald, who used safety Kyle Hamilton in a variety of ways over the past two seasons with the Baltimore Ravens.

Veteran corner Ronald Darby signed for two seasons, but the team would only owe him $1.25 million of his $2.75 million salary for 2025 if they moved on from him after 2024.

The Jaguars had significant problems in pass coverage last season, and Kool-Aid McKinstry, who played in a pro system at Alabama, would be a solid call for Jacksonville in this 2024 NFL Mock Draft.

Production from the tight end position has been a problem for the Cincinnati Bengals in recent years, and Brock Bowers — who will be the only player at his position to go off the board in the first round — is the easy call if he makes it this far.

With star defensive lineman Aaron Donald deciding to retire, defensive tackle now becomes the Los Angeles Rams’ top need for the future of their defense. Byron Murphy II, a favorite of some scouting sources we’ve spoken with, could come in and start immediately.

The Pittsburgh Steelers need to address the future of their defensive line, and Johnny Newton, known in scouting circles as one of the best available in the 2024 NFL Draft, is the call here.

21) Miami Dolphins: Jordan Morgan, OT, Arizona
Veteran left tackle Terron Armstead agreed to a pay reduction to keep him with the team this season. However, he still carries a salary cap of over $22 million for the 2025 season, with a non-guaranteed salary of $13.3 million.
Remember, the draft is always about the future, and Jordan Morgan makes a lot of sense for the Dolphins to select in this 2024 NFL Mock Draft with long-term success in mind.

The talented edge rusher could make it to this pick depending on how teams see his neck issue, which he had four years ago.
He had no issues during Senior Bowl week and is still one of this draft’s most respected edge rushers.
With veteran edge rusher Haason Reddick being the subject of trade talks, Laiatu Latu would be seen as a future addition to their pass-rushing group.

Troy Fautanu, who can play inside at guard or right tackle, is the selection in this 2024 NFL Mock Draft, with the Vikings drafting him to play on the inside.

This is the area (20-25) where scouting sources told us they see the athletic Amarius Mims going off the board.

As expected, starting left tackle David Bakhtiari was released, leaving a major void at that spot.

Some teams will see Graham Barton as an interior lineman due to his shorter-than-ideal arm length (32 7/8”), and while he started almost all of his games at left tackle at Duke, he did get some starts at center last season.

Terrion Arnold, who has shown the ability to play in a variety of coverages, would be a first-year starter if he makes it to the Buccaneers pick.

28) Buffalo Bills: Xavier Worthy, WR, Texas
With veteran Gabe Davis signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars, the wide receiver position becomes more of a priority for the future. Xavier Worthy, who set an NFL Scouting Combine record for the 40-yard dash, is the selection as his replacement.
Multiple scouting sources compared Worthy’s speed to former NFL wide receiver DeSean Jackson, who had been one of the top deep threats at his position for many years.
While the team is pretty much tied to veteran WR Curtis Samuel by contract structure for two seasons, Stefon Diggs carries a salary cap number of more than $27 million for 2025 along with a non-guaranteed salary of $18 million, which means this could be his last season with the team.

With the recent release of veteran Cam Sutton, cornerback quickly becomes the No. 1 need for the future, and the physical Ennis Rakestraw Jr. is our call here.
While his speed won’t wow anyone, football smarts and competitiveness are big reasons scouting sources believe he’ll go off the board within the first round.

The athletic Tyler Guyton would compete for the starting right job initially this season, but he could be the future replacement for veteran left tackle Ronnie Stanley.
Stanley, who turned 30 years old recently, has been unable to play an entire season over his eight seasons with the Ravens and has missed 36 games over his last four seasons due to injury. He also carries a non-guaranteed $16m salary for the 2025 season and a salary cap of over $26 million.

With an opening opposite veteran edge rusher Nick Bosa, hunting quarterbacks is a priority, especially with Chase Young signing with the Saints.
Chop Robinson has plenty of upside and can be brought along slowly behind veteran edge rusher Leonard Floyd.

With the trade of CB L’Jarius Sneed to the Tennessee Titans, cornerback has become the Kansas City Chiefs’ top need.
Max Melton, who had an outstanding string of practices during Senior Bowl week earlier this year followed that up with another incredible performance during the NFL Scouting Combine.
