The Tennessee Titans are signing Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Calvin Ridley to a four-year, $92 million contract, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported on Wednesday. The deal includes $50 million guaranteed. Here is everything to know about the wide receiver’s deal.
Calvin Ridley’s Contract Details
Ridley was a free agent after spending a season with the Jaguars, a year in which he started in all 17 games and totaled 1,016 yards and eight touchdowns.
Ridley agreed to a four-year, $92 million contract with the Titans, according to Rapoport.
He will become the 10th-highest-paid wide receiver in the NFL. Ridley’s $23 million average annual value (AAV) will slot in just behind that of Michael Pittman Jr., who inked a three-year, $70 million extension ($23.3 million AAV) with the Indianapolis Colts this week.
The $23 million per year Ridley is receiving surpasses what most teams expected Ridley to get. According to Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated, the Jaguars’ offer was just shy of $20 million per year, and the New England Patriots were at about $22 million per year.
Ridley responded to a comment from Dallas Cowboys insider Marcus Mosher suggesting it was too rich of a contract:
“That is way too much for Calvin Ridley,” Mosher wrote.
“Naw the right amount,” Ridley responded.

Ridley, 29, became the top wide receiver on the 2024 free agent market after Tee Higgins, Pittman, and Mike Evans were retained by their respective teams.
Reports had indicated that Ridley’s market was down to either the Patriots or the Jaguars, but it’s the Titans who came in and convinced Ridley to switch sides in the AFC South.
In Ridley’s two matchups with the Titans in 2023 he had 209 yards and three touchdowns, with him going over 100 yards in both games
Ridley will join receivers DeAndre Hopkins, Chris Moore, and Treylon Burks on the Titans. Tennessee went 6–11 last season, placing fourth in the AFC South. The Jaguars posted a 9–8 record and sat second in the division.
Ridley entered the league as a first-round pick out of Alabama by the Atlanta Falcons in 2018 and was establishing himself as one of the top receivers after a 2020 campaign where he made 90 catches for 1,374 yards.
However, Ridley stepped away from football for mental health reasons in the middle of the 2021 season and then was suspended for the following year in March 2022 for gambling violations.
The Titans have been big players this free-agent cycle at the skill positions, also bringing aboard former Cowboys running back Tony Pollard. All of these moves should help first-year head coach Brian Callahan put quarterback Will Levis in a strong spot to succeed as he steps into his second year.
