Despite agreeing to deals with star running back Saquon Barkley and pass rusher Bryce Huff on Monday, Philadelphia isn’t done. Eagles general manager Howie Roseman addressed three positions of need on Tuesday. All of that and more in today’s Eagles news!

Eagles Reunite With C.J. Gardner-Johnson on 3-Year Deal: Are They Done?

Following the messy departure of safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson last offseason, many believed his bridge to Philadelphia had been burned. Yet, Monday proved that wasn’t the case as the former Eagles safety reportedly agreed on a deal to return to the team.

Following the release of Kevin Byard and Avonte Maddox, Philadelphia was in desperate need of help at both safety and slot cornerback. Gardner-Johnson has experience playing in both of those roles and did exactly that for Philadelphia during their run to Super Bowl 57.

Justin Fields Trade Market: Could Eagles Address Backup QB Role With Trade?

At the start of the NFL’s legal tampering period, it appeared as though Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields would be traded for a solid return. The market has soured since the Jacksonville Jaguars traded just a sixth-round pick for quarterback Mac Jones.

According to multiple reports, teams view Fields as a backup quarterback target. Given the departure of Marcus Mariota, Philadelphia is in the market for a new backup for Jalen Hurts. Due to his rushing ability, Fields makes a ton of sense for the Eagles.

Eagles Free Agency Predictions: Remaining Linebacker Targets Include Bobby Wagner, Kwon Alexander, Jerome Baker

Despite the reported additions of Huff and outside linebacker Zack Baun, Philadelphia still needs to address its weakness at inside linebacker. Huff and Baun are primarily edge rushers who line up outside the offensive tackle on the line of scrimmage.

As Day 2 of free agency progressed, more and more linebackers began to sign deals around the NFL. While the Eagles could wait and address their current biggest need in the 2024 NFL Draft, there are still a few quality free agents available at linebacker.

Report: Eagles Agree to 1-Year Deal with OL Matt Hennessy

Following Jason Kelce’s retirement, the Eagles needed to add some depth along their offensive line. Cam Jurgens is expected to make the switch from right guard to center. Yet, that move leaves a void at right guard and backup center.

Philadelphia reportedly agreed to a one-year deal with offensive lineman Matt Hennessy. The 26-year-old interior offensive lineman has experience starting at both center and guard in the NFL. Hennessy should provide Philadelphia with much-needed depth in the trenches.

Report: Eagles Agree to 1-Year Deal With WR DeVante Parker

The Eagles experimented with a turnstile of wide receivers next to A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith last season. Philadelphia never had a set plan for its third wide receiver spot, and it showed as teams disregarded whoever played that role down the stretch.

Philadelphia reportedly agreed to a one-year deal with wide receiver DeVante Parker on Tuesday. At 31 years old, Parker doesn’t offer much speed but has tons of experience. Parker has primarily lined up as an outside wide receiver in the NFL, which could allow both Brown and Smith to see more snaps in the slot next season.
