The Denver Broncos and Cleveland Browns agreed to a deal on Saturday that will send wide receiver Jerry Jeudy to Cleveland in exchange for two draft picks ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported.
The Browns are getting a fifth-round pick and a sixth-round pick in return for Jeudy, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
After the news broke, fans jumped to social media to post their reactions.
NFL World Reacts to Jerry Jeudy Trade
Jeudy, 24, is a former first-round selection by the Broncos out of Alabama in 2020. He finished out the fourth year of his four-year, $15.192 million rookie deal that included an $8.61 million signing bonus.

The Broncos picked up Jeudy’s fifth-year option for the 2024 season last March, worth $12.978 million fully guaranteed.
In 2023, Jeudy appeared in 16 games for the Broncos and caught 54 passes for 758 yards and two touchdowns. He has 211 catches for 3,053 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns in his four seasons in Denver.
Jeudy will provide the Browns with a much-needed dynamic weapon at wide receiver while the Broncos continue to stockpile draft picks in hopes of rebuilding their roster.
Some commented on how the trade is beneficial for both sides.
“WOW! A great weapon for Deshaun. (Or Flacco)? And Denver gets to start a bit of a rebuild,” one fan posted on X.
“Wide receiver was Cleveland’s biggest need pre free agency. And Jeudy really needed a fresh start. Love it,” ESPN NFL Draft Analyst and Insider Matt Miller posted.
Some saw the Browns acquiring Jeudy for a fifth- and a sixth-round pick as a steal.
“So when people were clamoring for the browns to trade for Jerry Jeudy, and were talking about giving up a high day 2, day 3 pick and players to get him, I was against it heavily. A 5th and a 6th??? Holy hell, Andrew Berry, that’s a steal,” one fan said.
“That’s a steal for the Browns imo. Can fit in the slot & @ Z, isn’t going to be WR1. Monster run game, great defense. Amari Cooper will pull coverage away. Deshaun Watson has no choice but to be better than he was last year,” said former NFL QB Kurt Benkert.
On the other hand, some fans are not so convinced.
“I see a lot of people saying what a steal Jerry Jeudy is. Am I the only one that thinks he deserves that low of an offer? The dude has literally shown that the NFL has been too overwhelming so far. It hasn’t translated from college to pros for him,” one fan posted.
“This isn’t the steal people think it is…Jeudy has shown flashes, but so far he is a certified bum,” another said.
With the trade, Denver creates $12,987,000 in additional salary cap space while also acquiring more draft capital for April.

At times during his four seasons with the Broncos, Jeudy has shown frustration with not getting the ball thrown his way. The receiver will now get a chance with the Cleveland Browns and quarterback Deshaun Watson.
The Broncos in the past six days have also released quarterback Russell Wilson, star safety Justin Simmons, blocking tight end Chris Manhertz, and non-tendered defensive lineman Jonathan Harris.
