After Kansas City and Jones worked through a messy negotiation last season, things are reportedly moving much smoother this time around. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, a deal isn’t done yet, but things are a lot more positive than they have been in previous negotiations between both sides.
Jones is a franchise cornerstone in Kansas City and a key player for their dominant defense. The Chiefs understand how important Jones is to their championship success — it only seems like a matter of time before both sides agree to a massive deal.
