NFL Free Agency Predictions for Wide Receivers: Where Do Calvin Ridley, Marquise Brown, Odell Beckham Jr., and Others Sign?

With NFL free agency just around the corner, the wide receiver position is one where many teams are going to look to sign a talented free agent.

Free agency is just around the corner, as teams can start officially signing with other teams on Wednesday, March 13, at 4 p.m. ET. Fans across the country are hoping that this starts a run that will eventually end in a Super Bowl victory next February.

Wide receiver is a position that is going to be very interesting this offseason. A couple of the top receivers, Tee Higgins and Michael Pittman Jr. have been franchise-tagged by the Bengals and the Colts. While those two were some of the top receivers on the market, there is still a lot of good talent at the position.

Here’s our best guess as to how the 2024 NFL offseason could play out for receivers like Calvin Ridley, Marquise Brown, and Odell Beckham Jr.

    NFL Wide Receiver Predictions

Calvin Ridley Signs With Tennessee Titans

Ridley to the Titans makes a lot of sense in multiple ways. First and most importantly, wide receiver is a huge position of need for the Titans. Since the team traded A.J. Brown during the 2022 NFL Draft, the wide receiver position has been in flux for Tennessee.

The receiver they took in that draft, Treylon Burks, has struggled to remain on the field due to injuries. In his first two seasons, he has scored only one touchdown. He still has the potential to be a solid receiver, but the Titans have to get help for their young quarterback, Will Levis.

Levis showed enough last season for the Titans to believe they may have found their franchise quarterback. At the very least, he showed that he deserves a fair chance, and that means getting him some playmakers on the perimeter.

Last year for the Jaguars, Ridley finished with 76 catches for 1,016 yards and eight touchdowns. The Titans got to see how special Ridley is up close last year, as he had two games with at least six catches and 103 yards while catching three total touchdowns in the two matchups.

It is a new era in Tennessee with Brian Callahan now the new head coach. He was most recently the offensive coordinator with Cincinnati, so the offense will be a priority for the team.

Odell Beckham Jr. Signs Back With Los Angeles Rams

It was barely more than two years ago when Beckham was a member of the Los Angeles Rams and playing in the Super Bowl.

He tore his ACL in that game, but he had two catches for 52 yards and a touchdown before leaving. In only eight regular season games with the Rams that year, he finished with five touchdown receptions.

At his age and with his injury history, he doesn’t have the ability to be a true No. 1 wide receiver, but he could be a perfect complement to an already talented offense. The Rams fit that bill perfectly, as the wide-receiving duo of Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua are as good of a duet as there is in the league.

Playing with those two would give Beckham some very favorable matchups and would let him play with Matt Stafford, with whom he has a good rapport. Beckham has spoken in the past about how appreciative he is of Sean McVay and the Rams organization.

Beckham may have to take less money to play with the Rams, but this is a fit that makes sense for both sides.

Marquise Brown Joins Two-Time Defending Super Bowl Champions

The Kansas City Chiefs were able to win their second consecutive Super Bowl last season, but the team heads into the offseason knowing it has to get better at wide receiver.

The team has already cut Marquez Valdes-Scantling, who despite his struggles last year was terrific in both playoff runs for the Chiefs. Valdes-Scantling was brought in to be a big-play threat, but drops and inconsistent play were a big part of his Chiefs tenure.

With Rashee Rice showing big-time potential in his rookie year, the Chiefs will be looking for some speed and downfield threats. Brown fits that bill perfectly while also being able to play a role in the jet sweeps and receiver screens that the Chiefs love to run.

His numbers the past two years in Arizona haven’t been quite as good as his time in Baltimore, but the quarterback position hasn’t been stable for the Cardinals either. Kyler Murray has missed a ton of time with an ACL injury, and the team went through multiple other quarterbacks in his absence.

Brown would be playing with Patrick Mahomes, who could help him get back to the receiver he was in Baltimore. In 2021, he had 91 catches for 1,006 yards and six touchdowns, and he would be a perfect complement to Rice and Travis Kelce.

Gabe Davis Leaves Buffalo and Signs With Baltimore

The Ravens for much of last season were looked at as the best team in football. Both their offense and defense were dominant throughout the regular season, with Lamar Jackson winning his second MVP Award.

Rookie wide receiver Zay Flowers had an impressive freshman campaign and looks like a guy who can be a future star at the position. However, the team could still use some help on the perimeter, and Davis would be a perfect fit.

He has been inconsistent at times in Buffalo, but Davis is the type of big-play receiver the Ravens have been hoping to get for a long time. His ability to make plays deep down the field would force defenses to keep a safety deep, which would make things easier for Jackson.

The Ravens are right there on the door of a championship and have very few weaknesses on the roster. With that in mind, the team can look to make a bold move, and Davis is just the move that could take this team all the way.
