Round 1, Pick 15: Brian Thomas Jr., WR, LSU
Simply, the Colts need to add more explosive weapons for Anthony Richardson to throw to. And players don’t come as ready-made for the Indianapolis offense as Brian Thomas Jr.
A true deep threat, Thomas is the perfect complement for Richardson. At 6’3” and 209 pounds, Thomas ran a 4.33-second 40-yard dash at the 2024 NFL Combine and is an explosive athlete who hits all the size, speed, and strength measurables.
The connection between Richardson and Thomas can be special.
Round 2, Pick 46: Ruke Orhorhoro, DT, Clemson
Ruke Orhorhoro is an extremely versatile defensive lineman with the power profile to overwhelm interior offensive linemen. A big, athletic DT, the former Clemson Tiger has accurate hands, can get off blocks quickly, and can shoot through gaps.
Round 3, Pick 82: Mike Sainristil, CB, Michigan
The Colts potentially need a replacement for Kenny Moore II, and Mike Sainristil is an instant starter. The former Michigan CB is a WR convert and has an abundance of ball skills and awareness.
Sainristil has the awareness and anticipation to cut off routes and displays twitch and toughness from the slot. While he is smaller at 5’9” and 182 pounds, he shows the range and physicality that translate in the NFL.
Round 4, Pick 118: Jaylen Wright, RB, Tennessee
With Zack Moss looking set to hit free agency, the Colts need to find another dynamic running back to complement Jonathan Taylor.
Jaylen Wright is an explosive mover with true home run-hitting speed. With twitchy movement, Wright can make defenders miss in a phonebooth while maintaining a powerful, violent running style.
Round 5, Pick 150: Jaylon Carlies, S, Missouri
The safety play in Indianapolis has not been good enough. However, the free agency market looks deep at the position.
Even so, the Colts would be wise to add young talent to the group in the NFL Draft. Jaylon Carlies can man the strong safety role where he can play closer to the line of scrimmage.
At 6’3” and 227 pounds, Carlies is a physical tackler with good anticipation and awareness on tape. While he can sometimes play a little tight, his skill set to match up against bigger offensive players should negate any deficiencies.
Round 6, Pick 193: Omar Speights, LB, LSU
Despite lacking some strength due to being undersized, Speights’ effort and athleticism make him an intriguing late-round selection. With good initial burst and fluid movement, Speights can get sideline to sideline and is quick to read and react.
While he is only 6’0” and 229 pounds, he plays stronger than his weight would suggest. With a tough mentality, Speights is an adequate tackler and has the production to be a late-round gem.
Round 7, Pick 232: Sundiata Anderson, EDGE, Grambling State
Sundiata Anderson has an enormous amount of physical traits, which should allow him to get drafted. At 6’4” and 245 pounds, the edge rusher has the size to compete in the NFL. When that is paired with his crazy agility and athleticism, he becomes a developmental Day 3 prospect that is worth taking a flier on.

Anderson isn’t yet technically refined and has been winning off traits. However, if a team can coach a progressive pass rush skill set into him, the former Grambling State pass rusher can outperform his draft value.
