Looks like the old man still has it. Tom Brady hasn’t suited up for an NFL game in over a year, but that doesn’t mean the seven-time Super Bowl champion has stopped working out.
After seeing his company, TB12, merge with NOBULL back in late January, the future Hall of Fame quarterback was seen testing out a new 40-yard-dash time. Spoiler alert, the 46-year-old Brady beat the 40-time that he had back as a rookie at the NFL Scouting Combine in 2000.
NFL World Responds to Tom Brady’s Improved Mark
The jokes wrote themselves even before Brady attempted to run a new 40-time to see if he could break his previous 5.17-second mark.
“If you could sign a medical waiver that we are not responsible for this, I’d appreciate it,” NOBULL founder Mike Repole told Brady before he tested his new time.
“I need to do this,” the Hall of Fame QB responded.
Brady finished with a 5.12 mark in testing — sending those watching him attempt this feat into a frenzy.

One of the first comments from those surrounding the NFL came from 98.5 The Sportshub (Boston’s top sports radio station) host Alex Barth who stated, “Tom vs. Time continues to be a one-sided matchup.”
Plenty of other fans poured in with comments in support of the former New England Patriot and Tampa Bay Buccaneer.
Many fans questioned whether Brady’s attempt to improve his 40 time was a sign that the quarterback would want to make a comeback to the NFL. The Michigan product last played in 2022 when he led Tampa Bay to the NFC South division title, but lost 31-14 to the Dallas Cowboys at home.
Some questioned (and joked) with Brady that he would not have been able to successfully have a faster time. One Twitter user stated his prediction that “he pulls his hamstring after 10 yards lol.”
“You guys act like I don’t have 1,000 (career) rushing yards,” Brady sent back in reply.
The 23-year NFL veteran may have retired from the game, but it appears Brady has a new goal to reach in retirement — besting the 40 time that he has been the butt of jokes for over the last two decades.
