The good times continue to roll on for Travis Kelce. Fresh off a year where he and his superstar girlfriend Taylor Swift dominated the headlines as well as a second consecutive Super Bowl title, it looks like the good vibes for the Kansas City Chiefs tight end will also continue into the offseason.
Kelce, while enjoying himself during the championship parade, grabbed ahold of the microphone and began to serenade the massive crowd with his rendition of Garth Brooks’ “Friends in Low Places.” The singer/songwriter himself caught wind of it and presented the tight end with an offer to show off his singing once again.
Garth Brooks Offers Travis Kelce Flight to His Bar
With Kelce letting his singing voice shine in front of the world, it wasn’t long before Brooks caught wind of it himself, which led to an offer to join forces.
“Did you guys see Travis Kelce’s version of ‘Friends in Low Places’? Did you see him sing this? I loved it, I thought it was fantastic,” Brooks said during the latest episode of his Inside Studio G podcast.
“It blew me away because I’m sitting there watching it as it’s going down, right? I never expected that,” he continued.
Brooks is set to open up a new bar called “Friends in Low Places Bar & Honky-Tonk,” which is set to open in Nashville on March 7, and he’s all-in on the idea of having Kelce and himself open the doors together. Whether he comes alone or brings a group, it seems Kelce has an open invitation to stop by for the big night.
“Big man, I’m just telling you this. I will be at [the] grand opening if you’re there.”
“I’ll send a plane if you want and come and get another shot at the title. If you want to come sing that, I’ll send a plane,” he continued.
“You can come by yourself or bring your brother or your gang, whatever you want to do. The plane holds 11, just remember that. So, yes, I’ll be happy to send this invite out to you if you want to try a little ‘Friends in Low Places’ in Friends in Low Places.”
There is no word just yet if Kelce will be taking Brooks up on his offer, but the duo coming together to sing the classic country hit would just be another chapter of Kelce’s year that continues to produce cool moments after cool moments.
