2024 NFL Mock Draft Simulator: Caleb Williams and Jayden Daniels Go Early, Patriots Move On From Mac Jones

Quarterback moves dominate the latest 2024 NFL Mock Draft as Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels, and J.J. McCarthy bring hope to new homes.

Super Bowl 58 wrapped up the 2023 NFL season in style, and now all eyes are on the future and the 2024 NFL Draft.

It truly is mock draft season. With the Pro Football Network Mock Draft Simulator (MDS), you can be the general manager for your favorite team, every team, or you can even let the sim roll and discover the potential scenarios of the NFL’s annual selection event. That’s exactly what we did for this 2024 NFL Mock Draft.

    2024 NFL Mock Draft

    1) Chicago Bears (From CAR): Caleb Williams, QB, USC

While the Chicago Bears evaluate the 2024 NFL Draft quarterback class against incumbent starter Justin Fields, you will likely see the No. 1 pick flip-flop between the consensus top-two signal-callers.

In this 2024 NFL Mock Draft, the off-script wizardry and alluring arm talent of Caleb Williams winds up in the Windy City as the Trojan becomes a Bear with the first pick.

    2) Washington Commanders: Drake Maye, QB, North Carolina

Although Sam Howell showcased some flashes of long-term starter potential during the 2023 season, a new head coach should signal a change at quarterback for the Washington Commanders.

Swapping one former Tar Heel for another in this 2024 NFL Mock Draft, new offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury gets to utilize Drake Maye and his exquisite talent.

    3) New England Patriots: Marvin Harrison Jr., WR, Ohio State

If the New England Patriots miss out on the top two quarterbacks in the 2024 NFL Draft, Marvin Harrison Jr. is a no-brainer selection at No. 3. The team hasn’t had an elite pass catcher for a long time, and Harrison certainly comes under that description.

Furthermore, he’s adept at elevating mediocre QB play, something there’s been plenty of from the Pats.

    4) Arizona Cardinals: Dallas Turner, EDGE, Alabama

With Harrison off the board, the MDS pivots away from a pass catcher for Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals to landing a top-tier pass rusher — another position of need.

Dallas Turner combines brain-boggling athletic qualities with an exciting pass-rush toolbox to give the Cardinals a dangerous weapon to terrorize offenses off the edge.

    5) Los Angeles Chargers: Joe Alt, OT, Notre Dame

Jim Harbaugh has guided the Michigan Wolverines to the College Football Playoff for the past two seasons and has done so by building a monster in the trenches.

In this 2024 NFL Mock Draft, that theme continues as the Los Angeles Chargers strike for one of the best offensive linemen in the class. Joe Alt‘s physical gifts, football intelligence, and technical fortitude elate Justin Herbert.

    6) New York Giants: Olumuyiwa Fashanu, OT, Penn State

The New York Giants are financially obligated to roll with Daniel Jones in the 2024 NFL season, so how do they best maximize their opportunity with the former Duke quarterback?

The offensive line is a clear area of need, and with Penn State phenom Olu Fashanu still on the board, the MDS gives Jones a physically strong and technically proficient pass protector.

    7) Tennessee Titans: Malik Nabers, WR, LSU

Offensive tackle is a popular choice for the Tennessee Titans across the 2024 NFL Mock Draft landscape, with just cause.

However, there’s more than one way to utilize the talents of second-year quarterback Will Levis. Getting him a dangerous field-stretching receiving weapon with reliable hands and a competitive nature, like Malik Nabers, would be an A+ move.

    8) Atlanta Falcons: Jayden Daniels, QB, LSU

Like every Atlanta Falcons fan, the MDS decides that the Desmond Ridder experience is over. From his underrated arm talent to explosive playmaking ability, Jayden Daniels is everything the team thought they were getting in Ridder, but better.

Now they’re free from the restrictions of Arthur Smith, the Falcons could be the most exciting NFL team with this selection.

    9) Las Vegas Raiders (From CHI): Terrion Arnold, CB, Alabama

Trade: The Raiders receive the No. 9 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft; the Bears receive picks 13 and 44.

Trades are free for users of the MDS. In this 2024 NFL Mock Draft, the Las Vegas Raiders are moving up the board.

The franchise has made questionable first-round calls at the cornerback position in recent seasons, but this isn’t one of them. Terrion Arnold is a truly elite CB prospect who adds value in all phases. Trading up here helps Vegas gazump at least two cornerback-needy teams to land the potential CB1 of the class.

    10) New York Jets: Keon Coleman, WR, Florida State

Watching multiple quarterbacks flail around behind suboptimal offensive line play could see the New York Jets bolster their first line of protection. However, adding another receiving threat to play opposite Garrett Wilson could be just as effective.

Keon Coleman has established himself as one of the top WRs in college football, with strong hands and deceptive for-size athleticism.

    11) Minnesota Vikings: Cooper DeJean, CB, Iowa

While the future of the quarterback position is yet to play out, the Minnesota Vikings hold off making a move at the position in this 2024 NFL Mock Draft.

Instead, the MDS turns its focus on a secondary with plenty of question marks. Cooper DeJean is a versatile and physical playmaker who could be the answer to more than one of those questions in Minnesota.

    12) Denver Broncos: Kool-Aid McKinstry, CB, Alabama

When you face Patrick Mahomes, Justin Herbert, and — checks notesAidan O’Connell twice each season in the AFC West, you better have your secondary locked down. The Denver Broncos secure their defensive backfield with the selection of Kool-Aid McKinstry.

A talented technician with top-tier ball skills from Alabama to team up with Patrick Surtain II is as good as it gets.

    13) Chicago Bears (From LV): JC Latham, OT, Alabama

The MDS pulled the trigger on a trade in this 2024 NFL Mock Draft, with the Bears sliding down a few spots in Round 1 and gaining another second-round selection.

With Williams secured earlier, the team bolsters the offensive line with JC Latham. In addition to pass-protection skills, the Alabama tackle brings a mauler mentality in the ground game in Chicago.

    14) New Orleans Saints: Rome Odunze, WR, Washington

Although upgrading the trenches could be seen as the priority need for the New Orleans Saints in the 2024 NFL Draft, don’t rule out the team adding further weapons for quarterback Derek Carr.

With a playmaker of Rome Odunze‘s caliber falling to them here, you can’t fault the MDS for pulling the trigger on the Washington wideout, who brings exceptional ball skills to the Bayou.

    15) Indianapolis Colts: Brock Bowers, TE, Georgia

What could be more frightening than giving the most dangerous quarterback from the previous draft class — Anthony Richardson — the most talented all-around player in the 2024 NFL Draft class?

MORE: 2024 NFL Draft Prospect Watchlist

Brock Bowers gives the Indianapolis Colts a legitimate receiving threat at all levels of the field. The All-American tight end also brings value as a blocker in all phases. Dangerous.

    16) Seattle Seahawks: Jer’Zhan Newton, DT, Illinois

The times, they are a-changin’ in Seattle following the departure of long-time Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll. However, that doesn’t mean they should abandon a commitment to making dominant defensive units.

Players don’t come much more dominant than Illinois DT Jer’Zhan Newton, who is an athletic and powerful force from any alignment, adding versatility value.

    17) Jacksonville Jaguars: Nate Wiggins, CB, Clemson

Although the Jacksonville Jaguars have gotten stellar play out of their cornerback room, this 2024 NFL Mock Draft adds a further element of danger in the secondary. Nate Wiggins plays the game with hair-on-fire physicality and genuine track speed, a combination that has been difficult to beat during his college football career at Clemson.

    18) Cincinnati Bengals: Quinyon Mitchell, CB, Toledo

The Cincinnati Bengals have been trying to get their secondary right via the NFL Draft, and they’ve made some promising steps in that direction. Landing a productive playmaker of Quinyon Mitchell‘s caliber in the second half of the first round is less of a step and more of a gargantuan leap.

The Toledo Rocket is shooting up boards, making his selection here an absolute steal.

    19) Los Angeles Rams: Jared Verse, EDGE, Florida State

The Los Angeles Rams haven’t made a first-round pick since 2016, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them trade this one away before they get on the clock in April.

Nevertheless, they’re in the market for a pass rusher, and this 2024 NFL Mock Draft sees one of the best fall to them. Jared Verse is power and athletic prowess personified, and the Florida State standout also boasts an advanced arsenal of pass-rush tools.

    20) Pittsburgh Steelers: Taliese Fuaga, OT, Oregon State

Offensive line upgrades are a must for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the MDS understood the assignment in this 2024 NFL Mock Draft.

The ninth-ranked player on the PFN Top 100 Prospect Watchlist, Taliese Fuaga impressed in Mobile at the Senior Bowl, bolstering his reputation as one of the best offensive tackles in a loaded class.

    21) New England Patriots (From MIA): J.J. McCarthy, QB, Michigan

Trade: The Patriots receive the No. 21 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft; the Dolphins receive picks 34 and 68, plus the Patriots’ 2025 third-round pick.

It’s a new era in New England, and a trade-up is certainly an unfamiliar concept in Foxborough. Something has to change in the QB room, however, and moving up in this 2024 NFL Mock Draft to land Michigan’s J.J. McCarthy gives the Patriots a talented playmaker with an electric arm. His winning mentality was proven after leading the Wolverines to a national title.

    22) Philadelphia Eagles: Chop Robinson, EDGE, Penn State

There’s no denying that the secondary is the biggest area of concern for the Philadelphia Eagles, but history suggests that a first-round selection at CB or safety is unlikely.

MORE: Top EDGEs in the 2024 NFL Draft

Understanding this, the MDS adds a pass rusher with explosion and aggression in the form of Chop Robinson. With Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter on the interior, the Penn State product should thrive here.

    23) Houston Texans: Laiatu Latu, EDGE, UCLA

The Houston Texans played the board magnificently a year ago to snag Will Anderson Jr. out of Alabama. In this mock, they allow the board to fall to them to find a dangerous running mate and form a tandem of talented pass rushers.

Medical history may dent Laiatu Latu‘s ascent, but he’s arguably this class’ most talented pass rusher.

    24) Dallas Cowboys: Tyler Guyton, OT, Oklahoma

The Dallas Cowboys have several potential OL departures on the horizon, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them address that issue on Day 1 of the 2024 NFL Draft.

Tyler Guyton has flashed his athleticism, savagery, and power in the Sooners’ high-powered offense this fall while boasting an NFL-ready frame at 6’7″ and 326 pounds.

    25) Green Bay Packers: Troy Fautanu, G, Washington

With Jordan Love’s development and success in 2023, the Green Bay Packers’ focus in this 2024 NFL Mock Draft is ensuring he has the time in the pocket to thrive going forward.

Troy Fautanu manned the LT spot for the national title runner-up this past season but is projected to move inside, where his power in the ground game should also weaponize the backfield.

    26) Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Amarius Mims, OT, Georgia

With Baker Mayfield seemingly entrenched as the starter for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the MDS focuses on ensuring his longevity. Adding Amarius Mims to an offensive line anchored by Tristan Wirfs is a stellar way to ensure Mayfield’s success. The former Georgia Bulldog is a towering, vicious, powerful tackle who can also add value to the Tampa Bay ground game.

    27) Arizona Cardinals: Graham Barton, G, Duke

The Arizona Cardinals have needs across the offensive line. What better way to fill those holes than with a first-round selection that offers exceptional versatility?

Graham Barton predominantly played left tackle for the Duke Blue Devils but could conceivably play all five spots at the NFL level. He’s a powerful force with an imposing frame who can pancake and piledrive with the best.

    28) Buffalo Bills: Byron Murphy II, DT, Texas

Arguably the Buffalo Bills’ biggest need in the 2024 NFL Draft is adding to the wide receiver room. However, there are also defensive needs that start in the trenches, and only a few players who can impact the interior like towering Texas talent Byron Murhpy II. The Longhorn behemoth can obliterate or navigate past offensive linemen with disturbing ease.

    29) Detroit Lions: Kamari Lassiter, CB, Georgia

The Detroit Lions have addressed the secondary in successive editions of the NFL’s annual selection event, but they still need to find a lockdown cornerback as they attempt to take the next step toward a Super Bowl.

MORE: Top CBs in the 2024 NFL Draft

Kamari Lassiter has flown a little under the radar but has the physical makeup, technical excellence, and catch-point ball skills to be a force in the NFL for a long time.

    30) Baltimore Ravens: Kingsley Suamataia, OT, BYU

The Baltimore Ravens must find a way to get two-time NFL MVP Lamar Jackson to the Super Bowl. Upgrades on the offensive line — particularly with a questionable interior and aging bookends — should be a focus, and the acquisition of Kingsley Suamataia in this 2024 NFL Mock Draft addresses that need.

Excitingly, the BYU standout can be a high-level run blocker in the NFL.

    31) San Francisco 49ers: Jordan Morgan, OT, Arizona

The offensive line will likely be the main focus area for the San Francisco 49ers early in the 2024 NFL Draft. Jordan Morgan was a highly respected prospect a year ago but has bolstered his stock further this year. An impressive technician with impeccable timing, he has the agility to be a force in all phases of the game.

    32) Kansas City Chiefs: Brian Thomas Jr., WR, LSU

Patrick Mahomes made Mecole Hardman a Super Bowl hero, and he’s been working magic with the Kansas City Chiefs’ receiving room all season.

GET TO WORK: Free NFL Mock Draft Simulator With Trades

Despite the emergence of Rashee Rice, the team still needs to add pass-catching playmakers, and Brian Thomas Jr. is one of the most dangerous in this class. Size, speed, and ball-tracking skills are the hallmarks of this LSU WR.
