With the season ending, it’s officially time to look to the offseason and the 2024 NFL Draft. With every team focusing on the future, this 2024 NFL Mock Draft examines how they’ll improve. Offense dominates the early selections, and a few first-round picks see their draft stock fall.
2024 NFL Mock Draft
1) Chicago Bears (From CAR): Drake Maye, QB, North Carolina
There seems to be a consensus surrounding Justin Fields in mock drafts, and many have the Bears moving on from their franchise quarterback. Fortunately for them, they have options in this year’s draft. It’s hard to go wrong with the top two options, but Chicago could also trade back and gain more picks.
Drake Maye can sling it. We’ve reached the point where everyone’s trying to find flaws in his game, but there shouldn’t be too many concerns even if you look closely. He’s a better passer than Fields and athletic enough to make plays with his legs.
2) Washington Commanders: Caleb Williams, QB, USC
Caleb Williams remains arguably the most polarizing player in the draft. Don’t overthink his game. Washington’s new staff could stick with Sam Howell, but it’s tough to pass on Williams, especially with the uncertainty of the 2025 class.

Williams can make big-time plays for the Commanders, and he joins an offense that could be one of the best in the league with the talent available. The USC quarterback adds another element to that offense, and he’d raise the excitement level of the fan base instantly.
3) New England Patriots: Marvin Harrison Jr., WR, Ohio State
Jerod Mayo has a tough decision to make. If the top two quarterbacks are off the board here, he might decide to pass on one. If Marvin Harrison Jr. is available, that’s not a bad consolation prize.
Thanks to his top-tier skill set, Harrison gives the Patriots’ quarterback(s) a player who can improve their game. He’s a fairly polished prospect, and he allows New England to hold off on a QB until the later rounds.
4) Arizona Cardinals: Rome Odunze, WR, Washington
Arizona needs a bigger receiver to stretch the field vertically. It has the talent to thrive on the short to intermediate routes but needs a consistent deep threat to open up the offense. Kyler Murray’s game should elevate with a player like that in the offense, too.
Rome Odunze, for some analysts, challenges Harrison for the top prospect at their position, and he gives the Cardinals exactly what they need. Odunze stands 6’3” and 215 pounds, and some argue he’s more polished than the Ohio State pass catcher.
5) Los Angeles Chargers: Brock Bowers, TE, Georgia
New head coach Jim Harbaugh returns to the NFL and needs to fill some holes on both sides of the ball. While the secondary remains one of them, giving Justin Herbert more weapons became more important with Quentin Johnston’s struggles.
With Brock Bowers sitting on the board still in this 2024 NFL Mock Draft, it might be tough for this staff to pass on him. At Michigan this year, Harbaugh’s offense utilized the tight ends extensively in the passing game, and Bowers gives them another talented weapon.
6) New York Giants: Joe Alt, OT, Notre Dame
New York is letting their quarterback situation play out here, and it addresses the offensive line to help. Joe Alt comes to the big city with a huge frame and should thrive immediately. He’s been one of the easier prospects to evaluate, and the Giants’ offense improves simply by adding him to the roster.
7) Tennessee Titans: Olumuyiwa Fashanu, OT, Penn State
New head coach Brian Callahan looks to build a new foundation for the Titans, and that starts up front. An offense that features a potentially promising young QB in Will Levis must help their future franchise player make plays. Giving him time to do so is the first step.
Olu Fashanu gives Tennessee a player whose best football is still ahead of him. His development over the next couple of years dictates how great he’ll be. Fashanu faced some talented prospects in this class, which should help him acclimate to the next level.
8) Atlanta Falcons: Jayden Daniels, QB, LSU
Atlanta’s offense could be a quarterback away with its returning talent. Jayden Daniels remains on the board in this 2024 NFL Mock Draft, so the Falcons don’t waste any time snatching him up.
Daniels paired with Bijan Robinson in the backfield gives Atlanta a terrifying duo, but his improvement as a passer also makes this offense intriguing. Wide receiver Drake London and tight end Kyle Pitts should be excited about the steps Daniels took this last year. The Falcons have a bright future with him running the show.
9) Chicago Bears: Malik Nabers, WR, LSU
Now that the Bears have addressed their QB need, they add to a promising group at receiver with Malik Nabers. The former LSU star terrorized the SEC over the past two seasons and could do the same to the NFC North. With D.J. Moore lined up opposite of him, the Bears have a duo that won’t be fun to face.
10) New York Jets: JC Latham, OT, Alabama
Robert Saleh’s offense features some talent on the offensive line, but staying healthy has been a struggle.
While JC Latham is recovering from an injury in the Rose Bowl, there shouldn’t be concerns about his ability to stay healthy long-term. He played in 40 games for Alabama in his three seasons and will give the Jets an anchor on the edge.
11) Minnesota Vikings: Dallas Turner, EDGE, Alabama
With Danielle Hunter most likely moving on from Minnesota in free agency, the Vikings must find his replacement. If they can’t trade up for a quarterback, they can sit tight and address another need on the opposite side.
Dallas Turner can be great at the next level. He brings a tenacious mentality to his position, and his power makes him a dangerous threat on the edge. Defensive coordinator Brian Flores needs a difference-maker at the position, and Turner can fill that role.
12) Denver Broncos: Terrion Arnold, CB, Alabama
Denver’s found success with Patrick Surtain II, so perhaps adding another former Alabama corner will work well.
Terrion Arnold may not be as polished as Surtain was coming out of college, but the potential is there. He’s an aggressive playmaker who took big strides last year, and the Broncos could have a dynamic duo to frequently shut down opposing passing attacks.
13) Las Vegas Raiders: Amaraius Mims, OT, Georgia
The Raiders could go with a cornerback here, but they must also upgrade the offensive line. In this 2024 NFL Mock Draft, they take a guy who will win fans over quickly with his play.
Amarius Mims, when healthy, can be a ferocious blocker. This offense has a few big needs, but Mims can help the skill-position talent by dominating like he did at Georgia.
14) New Orleans Saints: Taliese Fuaga, OT, Oregon State
New Orleans’ offensive line has some physical players, but they need to find more consistency. Taliese Fuaga brings a physical style of play to the Saints’ offense, and that skill set was on full display at the Senior Bowl.
MORE: 2024 NFL Draft Big Board
He’s not the flashiest player at the position, but Fuaga’s one of the toughest players to beat on the edge. So, while he might not create much hype, the offense benefits tremendously from this pick.
15) Indianapolis Colts: Jared Verse, EDGE, Florida State
It’s hard not to like Jared Verse‘s journey. The former Albany transfer proved his worth at a Power Five school, and he’s looking to keep that chip on his shoulder at the NFL level.
Indianapolis’ defense needs someone like Verse on the edge. He brings a powerful frame to the Colts’ defensive line, and he’s a mature player who shouldn’t need a ton of time to crack the starting lineup.
16) Seattle Seahawks: Laiatu Latu, EDGE, UCLA
Seattle’s defensive core features plenty of young and promising talent, and this 2024 NFL Mock Draft adds another player to that mix.
Laiatu Latu can silence any concerns about his health at the NFL Scouting Combine, keeping him in the first-round conversation. On the field, Latu’s a disruptive player with a good frame, and he gives the Seahawks a reliable threat on the edge.
17) Jacksonville Jaguars: Kool-Aid McKinstry, CB, Alabama
Jacksonville might hold off on drafting a pass catcher depending on who’s available at wide receiver. They’ll look in a different direction if they can bring Calvin Ridley back. In this 2024 NFL Mock Draft, they add a player who can go up against Ridley in practice every day.
Kool-Aid McKinstry joins Ridley as a former Alabama player on the Jaguars, and the practice battles between these two could be electric. McKinstry is calm while matching routes, and he’d be tested plenty with Ridley’s route-running abilities.
18) Cincinnati Bengals: Ja’Tavion Sanders, TE, Texas
While Bowers isn’t available here, the Bengals still have a great option at tight end. If Tee Higgins hits the road in free agency, Cincinnati must find a replacement for Joe Burrow and the passing attack.
The gap between Bowers and Ja’Tavion Sanders isn’t as big as some believe. While Sanders hasn’t been in the spotlight as much, he’s still a great TE who can elevate the Bengals’ offense. He’s a reliable pass catcher who’s explosive with the ball in his hands, and his effort through the whistle jumps out on tape.
19) Los Angeles Rams: Cooper DeJean, CB, Iowa
Cooper DeJean doesn’t come into the draft with the most hype, but there shouldn’t be any doubts about his game. He’s an underrated athlete who could play multiple positions at the next level. The Rams are looking at a youth movement for their roster turnover, and DeJean will contribute in multiple ways this year.
20) Pittsburgh Steelers: Graham Barton, G, Duke
Pittsburgh needs help up front, and Graham Barton could help address multiple positions. He played tackle last year for Duke, but he’ll likely play on the inside in the NFL. His position versatility provides the Steelers with depth at multiple positions on top of giving them a player that will make the offense better.
21) Miami Dolphins: Kingsley Suamataia, OT, BYU
Miami doesn’t need to overthink the skill-position talent on the roster, but the offensive line could take some hits. If Robert Hunt and Connor Williams leave in free agency, this pick will shift to the interior.

If not, Kingsley Suamataia figures to be a great addition to the offense. He’s a big player who can dominate his competition and would join an offense with explosive abilities in 2024.
22) Philadelphia Eagles: Quinyon Mitchell, CB, Toledo
No underdog made a bigger splash this offseason than Quinyon Mitchell. Once analysts got onto his game, getting them to stop talking about him was tough.
The quality of competition Mitchell faced at Toledo is the biggest concern in his evaluation, but he eased those worries with his play at the Senior Bowl. Philadelphia needs an upgrade in the secondary — from a talent and age perspective — and Mitchell will be the perfect fit.
23) Houston Texans (From CLE): Keon Coleman, WR, Florida State
After an exciting 2023 season, the Houston Texans keep the momentum going in this 2024 NFL Mock Draft by getting a player who falls despite his talent.
Keon Coleman’s draft stock is all over the place right now, but the Texans benefit here. The offense has a great combination of C.J. Stroud and Tank Dell, but adding Coleman opens up the offense even more.
24) Dallas Cowboys: Nate Wiggins, CB, Clemson
Dallas found that their secondary wasn’t as deep as they’d like this year, though DaRon Bland’s emergence helped tremendously. With Nate Wiggins on the board, they shouldn’t hesitate to add another talented corner to the mix.
At Clemson, Wiggins wasted little time getting into the starting lineup, and he’d do the same with the Cowboys. He has the speed and ball skills to compete with the best of the best, but his effort stands out the most. Wiggins doesn’t quit on plays, and little things like that effort will make him a great pro.
25) Green Bay Packers: Kamren Kinchens, S, Miami (FL)
The Packers should be set at the cornerback position for the foreseeable future with Jaire Alexander and Eric Stokes. Throw in an upgrade at safety, and Green Bay’s opponents might think twice about throwing the ball.
MORE: Top Safeties in the 2024 NFL Draft
Kamren Kinchens picked off 10 passes over the past two seasons, and he upgrades the Packers’ secondary with this selection. Kinchens is a natural with the ball in the air, and he joins a unit that can teach him plenty early in his professional career.
26) Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Jackson Powers-Johnson, C, Oregon
With Jackson Powers-Johnson still available in this 2024 NFL Mock Draft, this pick is a no-brainer to me. Tampa Bay needs a center following Ryan Jensen’s retirement, and the former Oregon standout fills that void with a promising skill set.
It sounds like Baker Mayfield may be sticking around for a while, so the Bucs don’t have to think about the quarterback position. Powers-Johnson can learn a lot from his new teammates, but he also ensures that the drop-off with Jensen gone won’t be steep.
27) Arizona Cardinals (From HOU): Jer’Zhan Newton, DT, Illinois
This pick comes a little later than the Cardinals might have expected, but plenty of options are still available. They addressed their need at receiver, so now Arizona flips to the defensive side of the ball.
The defensive line has needs, and they take a guy who can give them flexibility across that front. Jer’Zhan Newton saw time as a tackle and as an end with Illinois the last couple of seasons. While he’ll primarily play inside in the NFL, Newton gives the Cardinals some intriguing package options with his versatility and experience.
28) Buffalo Bills: Adonai Mitchell, WR, Texas
Josh Allen needs help at receiver. The Stefon Diggs struggles late this season didn’t help that concern, but the Bills can address that in the offseason.
Adonai Mitchell remains on the board in this 2024 NFL Mock Draft, and he’ll help Buffalo’s offense with his skill set. Mitchell thrived with Texas this past year and has proven that he can make clutch plays in the biggest moments.
29) Detroit Lions: Tyler Nubin, S, Minnesota
Detroit already had a chip on its shoulder this year, and it should only grow in 2024. A good season also brought up concerns on defense, specifically in the secondary. The Lions’ defense has a good foundation in terms of effort, but the talent level needs to elevate.
Tyler Nubin continues flying under the radar in this class, but there shouldn’t be any second-guessing his talent. He’s been a big-time playmaker for Minnesota the last few years, and he gives the Lions an upgrade on the back end.
30) Baltimore Ravens: Byron Murphy II, DT, Texas
Baltimore’s season didn’t end how its fans wanted, but that will motivate the team for 2024. The defense doesn’t need much help, but the Ravens add a player who can open things up for the guys behind him.
MORE: Top DTs in the 2024 NFL Draft
Many expect Byron Murphy II‘s testing numbers at the NFL Combine to be explosive, which should help his draft stock. Here he falls late into Round 1, and the Ravens don’t waste any time picking him. Murphy’s an explosive player with good power, which will help him disrupt the opposing offense.
31) San Francisco 49ers: Tyler Guyton, OT, Oklahoma
Brock Purdy didn’t get enough time to throw in the Super Bowl, validating the 49ers’ need to look at the offensive line in the draft. Tyler Guyton needs to develop more, but he’ll get great experience with San Francisco’s veterans alongside him.
32) Kansas City Chiefs: Brian Thomas Jr., WR, LSU
Rashee Rice lightened the workload for Travis Kelce this season, but the Chiefs still need more pass-catching depth. Kelce turns 35 next season, and Rice was the only other player who had more than 500 yards receiving. Thus, a young talent like Brian Thomas Jr. will be a welcomed addition to the passing attack.
