Tom Brady BetMGM Commercial: Details on the Super Bowl 58 Ad With Vince Vaughn and Wayne Gretzky

    Published on

Who's the winner in the new Tom Brady BetMGM commercial? Apparently everyone but the legendary QB.

While Super Bowl 58 will generate a ton of excitement, it’s also time for the year’s best (and most expensive) television commercials. Countless companies pull out all the stops to advertise their product or services in the NFL‘s big game, like the new Tom Brady BetMGM commercial. Let’s take a look at the Super Bowl ad, as well as point out the cameos from other celebrities besides Brady.

Who Can Win in the Tom Brady BetMGM Commercial?

The “Tom Has Won Enough” ad begins with comedy and actor Vince Vaughn standing in front of the Bellagio Fountains in Las Vegas, Nevada, talking about how the BetMGM sportsbook is for everyone who loves betting … except Tom Brady.

The camera then transitions to a confused Brady in a beachside house, asking Vaughn what he did. Vaughn gives a simple yet understandable answer: “The truth is you’ve won too much, Tommy. Let others have their turn.”

We are then transported to a tailgate where a fan asks Vaughn about betting in the app live. Good news for him: He’s not Brady, so he’s in. Then, he shares a freshly grilled hotdog with the actor.

Then, Vaughn is in a bar with a woman asking if she’s betting on the game, but she also thinks Brady is attractive. Can she get in? She’s not the seven-time Super Bowl winner, so yes, she is in.

Next, Vaughn heads to California to sit with Brady’s babysitter. She might have let the fact he was a handful slip, but Vaughn shuts her down before more secrets escape. Even though she supervised the future Hall of Famer as a child, she can still use BetMGM.

It then flashes to some New England and Tampa Bay fans asking if their love for the man who won their team a championship is OK. Yep, they’re still not the GOAT. Finally, we flash to a gentleman putting some groceries in his car, but he’s the “Tom Brady of Spreadsheets.” However, he’s still not the three-time NFL MVP, so he can place bets and win wagers.

    Who Is Tim Birdie?

The final transition shows us Tim Birdie, a seven-time pool champion. He’s dressed in a blue flannel, rhinestone belt, sunglasses, and a cowboy hat with a feather in it while shooting pool behind his back.

However, it’s Brady in disguise trying to get past Vaughn, who is not fooled. It’s clear that no matter what, Brady has won too much in football to win on BetMGM. But it seems the sportsbook makes some exceptions.

Brady then asks Vaughn why the Edmonton Oilers and Los Angeles Kings legendary hockey player, Wayne Gretzky, is allowed to win. Gretzky won four Stanley Cups and nine Hart Memorial trophies, the NHL’s MVP award.

When he retired, Gretzky held or shared 61 NHL records. As of 2024, he still has or shares 58, the most notable being the most regular season points scored in the NHL with 2,857.

While Gretzky has won quite a bit, if not more than Brady, Vaughn isn’t passing up the chance to have dinner with an NHL legend. Gretzky then says hello to Brady, who returns the gesture with jealousy in his voice.

Brady, Vaughn, and Brady’s babysitter are outside the MGM Grand on the Las Vegas strip, staring at the QB’s new sign for the app. While it’s clear he won’t be able to win on BetMGM. He’s now wondering why his babysitter is with them — a funny story to promote one of the many sportsbook apps available for betting.
