For the fourth time in his NFL career so far, Patrick Mahomes will be playing in a Super Bowl. The Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers are facing off in Super Bowl 58.
While Mahomes has had major success on the field, he also has a life off the field. Is he married?
Patrick Mahomes’ Relationship Timeline
Mahomes was born Sept. 17, 1995, in Tyler, Texas. He attended Whitehouse High School in Whitehouse, Texas. During his time in high school, Mahomes played football, baseball, and basketball. As a senior, he had 4,619 yards and 50 touchdowns passing as well as 948 yards and 15 touchdowns rushing.
However, high school is also where he met his wife, Brittany Matthews, now Brittany Mahomes. The two are high school sweethearts, managing a long-distance relationship during their collegiate careers.
After high school, Patrick attended Texas Tech University for three seasons. In his career at Texas Tech, he passed for 11,252 yards, 93 touchdowns, and 29 interceptions. As for Brittany, she attended the University of Texas at Tyler. During her collegiate career, she played soccer, having 74 appearances and 31 goals.
After college, both of them also pursued pro paths. Patrick was drafted with the 10th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft by the Chiefs. Brittany, on the other hand, competed internationally in Iceland.
Since being drafted, Patrick has played in 96 games, passing for 28,424 yards, 219 touchdowns, and 63 interceptions. He’s also made six Pro Bowls.
Patrick proposed on Sept. 1, 2020, in a suite at Arrowhead Stadium. The proposal came just a day after he received his first Super Bowl ring from the team’s win over the 49ers in Super Bowl 54.
The two had their first child, a daughter named Sterling Skye, in February 2021. Just a year after her birth, the two got married in Maui. They’ve since had one more kid, Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III, who was in November 2022.
