Super Bowl 58 will see the San Francisco 49ers face the Kansas City Chiefs at Allegiant Stadium, with the potential for a high-scoring game between these two offensive powerhouses. Shootouts are a dream when it comes to touchdown scorer bets, especially if multiple players can find the end zone.
Ahead of Super Bowl 58, our NFL betting experts give their top picks for touchdown scorer bets for both the 49ers and Chiefs.
San Francisco 49ers vs. Kansas City Chiefs Best Touchdown Scorer Bets for Super Bowl 58
George Kittle (+180 at FanDuel)
Jason Katz: For the final game of the season, is it okay to make a bet purely based on feel?
Statistically, this isn’t a great matchup for George Kittle. The Chiefs surrendered just four touchdowns to tight ends all season and have been one of the better teams at defending the position.
I just really feel like Kittle is going to score. He’s played in 11 playoff games and scored only two touchdowns, one of which came against the Green Bay Packers in the Divisional Round. But if the 49ers are going to beat Kansas City, I think they will need a lot of Kittle.
L’Jarius Sneed is going to give Brandon Aiyuk fits. Deebo Samuel is more of a gadget player than a true wide receiver (but he’s also a good bet to score). On traditional pass plays, look for the 49ers to try and get Kittle to match up against linebackers and exploit the mismatch.
The odds are good enough to justify the bet here.
Brock Purdy (+850 at FanDuel)
Kyle Soppe: I believe Brock Purdy has some scoring potential, but this is as much about line shopping as anything (+500 at DraftKings). The Chiefs created pressure at the second-highest rate this season and have continued to flex that muscle throughout the playoffs.
If they are shadowing Aiyuk, allocating multiple bodies to Christian McCaffrey, and chasing Samuel across the formation — running lanes could certainly open up as San Francisco approaches the red zone.

Purdy has run for more yards in two playoff games than he did over the final two months of the regular season. He’s not an elite athlete, and he’s not going to have his number called on the goal line. But to have him priced as less likely to score than these defenses is just silly.
There are three players in this game with a first-time touchdown price that is shorter than Purdy’s anytime number on FanDuel — I’m in!
Rashee Rice (+140 at ESPN BET)
Ben Rolfe: The focus for Kansas City in this game will be firmly on Isiah Pacheco and Travis Kelce. During an interview this week, two senior traders from Caesars Sportsbooks told us that Kelce could turn out to be the most bet player in terms of props in Super Bowl history.
Amongst all of the Kelce-Pacheco excitement, Rashee Rice is sliding under the radar.
Rice has scored eight touchdowns this season but just once in the past five weeks. There has been more focus on Rice from opposing defenses lately, but with Kelce now back at full force, San Francisco will likely focus more attention on stopping him in the passing game.
The 49ers have allowed two TD receptions to wide receivers — Jameson Williams and Bo Melton — in the playoffs so far. Rice is Kansas City’s main WR weapon, and San Francisco’s secondary can be vulnerable.
Therefore, I’m taking Rice at +140 to find the end zone during Super Bowl 58.
Christian McCaffrey First 49ers Touchdown (+130 at ESPN BET)
Rolfe: There is absolutely no value in a McCaffrey anytime TD bet. I considered the idea of him scoring the first touchdown of the game at +450, but that has huge ramifications from the coin toss.
Therefore, the best value option is to pick McCaffrey, who has 25 touchdowns in 18 games this season to score the first 49ers touchdown.

If you’re building a same-game parlay, the best way to get McCaffrey involved is to “play it safe” by picking the anytime TD option at -230. If you want to go bold, then go for the first touchdown of the game, and then the first 49ers’ score sits somewhere in the middle.
Elijah Mitchell Anytime Touchdown (+800 at ESPN BET)
Rolfe: I love a longshot for anytime touchdown at the Super Bowl, and Elijah Mitchell is it. The San Francisco RB has found the end zone three times in the last four games, including in the tight matchup against the Detroit Lions two weeks ago.
It’s a bit of a Hail Mary because McCaffrey dominates this backfield, but Mitchell has every chance of seeing a goal-line carry or two, especially if the former gets dinged up at some point. Among the less likely options, Mitchell makes the most sense for a potential small wager with big returns.
