We’re less than a week out from the Super Bowl, meaning we’re one week closer to the 2024 NFL Draft. With the all-star games in the rearview window, the NFL Combine looms as the next milestone on the countdown to the annual selection event.
It truly is mock draft season. 2024 NFL Mock Draft
1) Chicago Bears (From CAR): Drake Maye, QB, North Carolina
As the Chicago Bears continue to do their due diligence around the quarterback situation, the MDS strikes for North Carolina Tar heels quarterback Drake Maye to get this 2024 NFL Mock Draft underway.
While lacking the dizzying display of creative wizardry of his counterpart, Maye has the size and arm talent to deliver immediately in the Windy City.
2) Washington Commanders: Joe Alt, OT, Notre Dame
The Washington Commanders spent the 2023 NFL season getting a first-hand evaluation of Sam Howell, and time will tell if he did enough for the team to avoid addressing a quarterback early in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Here, it would appear he is the answer going forward, as the team swoops for an elite left tackle option in Joe Alt to bolster the pass protection for Howell.
3) New England Patriots: Caleb Williams, QB, USC
The Bill Belichick era is officially over in Boston, and a new head coach leads to a fresh start at the quarterback position for the New England Patriots.
While questions remain about Caleb Williams and his ability to operate in structure, there’s no denying that his selection here would give fans of the franchise the exciting offense they’ve been clamoring for.
4) Arizona Cardinals: Dallas Turner, EDGE, Alabama
Most 2024 NFL Mock Drafts have the Arizona Cardinals linked with a certain Ohio State Buckeyes wide receiver with the fourth-overall selection.

However, there’s a genuine need to find an explosive answer off the edge, and the MDS pairs that need with Alabama standout Dallas Turner. Top-tier athleticism and an exciting toolbox prove attractive here.
5) Los Angeles Chargers: Marvin Harrison Jr., WR, Ohio State
The Cardinals’ selection leaves the Los Angeles Chargers rubbing their hands in sheer joy. Jim Harbaugh begins his Chargers tenure by landing a player he’s extremely familiar with from his time at Michigan.
Marvin Harrison Jr. is as polished as they come as a receiver prospect, bolstering the weapons for Justin Herbert.
6) New York Giants: Malik Nabers, WR, LSU
Shoring up the offensive line could be a point of emphasis for the New York Giants in April. In the final year of evaluating if Daniel Jones is really “it,” don’t rule out the team providing their passer with an elite target.
Malik Nabers is productive, explosive, competitive, and — most importantly for the Giants and Jones — he has a reliable pair of hands.
7) Tennessee Titans: Olumuyiwa Fashanu, OT, Penn State
The Tennessee Titans need a left tackle like most people need to breathe air to survive, and the MDS throws them the best available option.
A 6’6″, 321-pound mammoth at the position, Olumuyiwa Fashanu was earmarked as a potential top-10 pick a year ago. All he’s done since returning to Penn State is develop his top-tier OT attributes.
8) Atlanta Falcons: Rome Odunze, WR, Washington
Arthur Smith is gone, and we’re about to discover who was the real problem with the Atlanta Falcons offense. A new head coach may signal the end of the Desmond Ridder experiment, but what if the team picks up a veteran in free agency and builds around them in the NFL Draft?

Adding Rome Odunze to an offense with Drake London, Bijan Robinson, and Kyle Pitts is scintillating.
9) Chicago Bears: Kool-Aid McKinstry, CB, Alabama
With the quarterback situation secured earlier in this 2024 NFL Mock Draft, the Bears turn to the defensive side of the ball and the selection of Kool-Aid McKinstry to shore up their secondary.
The Alabama cornerback is a talented technician with the kind of top-tier ball skills Chicago needs. McKinstry also offers alluring special teams ability that should see him contribute immediately.
10) Minnesota Vikings (From NYJ): Terrion Arnold, CB, Alabama
Trade: The Vikings receive the No. 10 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft; the Jets receive picks 11 and 42.
The Minnesota Vikings are considered a trade-up contender, so this move isn’t a surprise. While the selection might be considered out of left field, the team has a significant need in the secondary. Trading picks with the New York Jets ensures they’re not gazumped for Terrion Arnold, a truly elite cornerback prospect who adds value in all phases.
11) New York Jets (From MIN): Brock Bowers, TE, Georgia
Imagine gaining an extra pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and securing one of the most complete talents in the class just to move back one spot.

The Jets laugh up to the podium to select Brock Bowers, who has the potential to be the next great tight end in the NFL. The Georgia Bulldog product is dangerous at all three levels as a receiver and adds blocking acumen to New York.
12) Denver Broncos: Jer’Zhan Newton, DT, Illinois
Returning the Denver Broncos to the defensive dominance of their most successful teams is the name of the game in this 2024 NFL Mock Draft. Illinois defensive tackle Jer’Zhan Newton is a dangerous and versatile weapon in the trenches. Newton’s athleticism allows him to be a force from any alignment.
13) Las Vegas Raiders: Jayden Daniels, QB, LSU
There are several ways that the Las Vegas Raiders could attack this offseason, but there’s a real chance that upgrading the QB room is high up the list.
Aidan O’Connell was solid in his rookie campaign, but he lacks the explosive talent of a playmaker like Jayden Daniels. An underrated passer, Daniels has elite playmaking skills as a rusher, making him an alluring option.
14) New Orleans Saints: JC Latham, OT, Alabama
The New Orleans Saints have long been the standard bearer for creating top-tier offensive lines, and they continue that reputation here with the selection of JC Latham out of Alabama. A stellar pass protector with a dangerous mauler mentality in the ground game, Latham can be a long-term cornerstone of the offensive line for the Saints.
15) Indianapolis Colts: Jared Verse, EDGE, Florida State
Has the MDS finally ended a seemingly never-ending quest to find an elite pass rusher for the Indianapolis Colts?

For my money, Jared Verse is one of the top defensive players in the 2024 NFL Draft class. A productive powerhouse wherever he’s played, Verse has the power, athletic prowess, and loaded toolbox to terrify offensive linemen with disturbing regularity.
16) Los Angeles Rams (From SEA): Laiatu Latu, EDGE, UCLA
Trade: The Rams receive the No. 16 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft; the Seahawks receive the No. 19 pick and a second-rounder in 2025.
Trades are free for users of the MDS, but in this 2024 NFL Mock Draft, the Los Angeles Rams are on the move up the board to secure a falling pass rusher.
UCLA’s Laiatu Latu is arguably the best pure edge player in this class but has some medical issues complicating his evaluation. There are no complications in the eyes of the Rams, who make a Day 1 selection for the first time since 2016.
17) Jacksonville Jaguars: Keon Coleman, WR, Florida State
The Jacksonville Jaguars land on the clock here in a position to address several needs.
Maximizing Trevor Lawrence’s talents with a wide receiver like Keon Coleman is smart. The former Michigan State and Florida State receiver has the size, speed, sensational body control, and super-sticky hands to be a dangerous downfield option.
18) Cincinnati Bengals: Cooper DeJean, CB, Iowa
PFN NFL Insider Adam Caplan recently divulged that one “high-level NFL scouting source” believes Iowa Hawkeye Cooper DeJean is “one of the top five players available” in this class.
All draft boards are built differently, but that gives the Cincinnati Bengals incredible value here with the 18th overall pick. DeJean’s physicality and playmaking versatility bolster the Bengals.
19) Seattle Seahawks (From LAR): Nate Wiggins, CB, Clemson
Pete Carroll may be gone, but the Seattle Seahawks continue a draft plan that was a fixture of his time with the franchise. The team has found success by focusing on building a stellar secondary, and the selection of Nate Wiggins extends that heritage.
The former Clemson Tiger is a genuine speedster with jolting physicality and adds a dangerous bite to the NFC West.
20) Pittsburgh Steelers: Amarius Mims, OT, Georgia
OL upgrades are a must for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the MDS understood the assignment here.
Amarius Mims is a towering, vicious, powerful presence who brings excellence and reliability in both the run and pass game. He’s the type of selection that makes evaluating Kenny Pickett a little bit easier while helping the ground game flourish.
21) Miami Dolphins: Quinyon Mitchell, CB, Toledo
The Miami Dolphins have one of the best cornerback tandems in the NFL, but with Xavien Howard missing multiple games and carrying a significant salary cap hit in 2024, that could be about to change.
Adding Quinyon Mitchell in this 2024 NFL Mock Draft ensures little long-term drop-off. The Toledo Rockets cornerback is one of the best in this class as a pure playmaker.
22) Philadelphia Eagles: Kamren Kinchens, S, Miami (FL)
The Philadelphia Eagles are notorious secondary dodgers in the first round, but there’s no doubt that, at some point, they’ll need to change that approach to roster construction.

There is no better time to start than in this 2024 NFL Mock Draft, where they land a high-impact safety in Kamren Kinchens. Few safeties in this class, or the NFL, bring the heat like the former Hurricane.
23) Houston Texans: Brian Thomas Jr., WR, LSU
C.J. Stroud tore up the NFL in his rookie campaign. How do the Houston Texans build on that in the 2024 NFL Draft?
Finding their QB1 a top-tier receiving outlet should be the first order of business, and Brian Thomas Jr. can be exactly that. The LSU product is an underrated receiver, boasting the size, speed, and ball-tracking skills to be a high-impact player in the NFL.
24) Dallas Cowboys: Taliese Fuaga, OT, Oregon State
The Dallas Cowboys have several potential offensive line departures on the horizon, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them address that issue on Day 1 of the 2024 NFL Draft.
The ninth-ranked player on the PFN Top 100 Prospect Watchlist, Taliese Fuaga impressed in Mobile at the Senior Bowl, bolstering his reputation as one of the best offensive tackles in a loaded class.
25) Tampa Bay Buccaneers (From GB): J.J. McCarthy, QB, Michigan
Trade: The Buccaneers receive the No. 25 pick; the Packers receive picks No. 26 and 125.
Baker Mayfield played admirably for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2023. However, with a roster lacking any long-term options at the QB position, the franchise reels in a player that at least one person (Jim Harbaugh) considers a potential first-overall pick.
J.J. McCarthy helped deliver a national title to Michigan with his laser-guided passes and mobility.
26) Green Bay Packers (From TB): Troy Fautanu, G, Washington
With Jordan Love’s development and success in 2023, the Green Bay Packers’ focus in this 2024 NFL Mock Draft is ensuring he has the time in the pocket to thrive going forward.

Troy Fautanu manned the left tackle spot for the national title runner-up this past season but is projected to move inside, where his power in the ground game should also weaponize the backfield.
27) Arizona Cardinals: Adonai Mitchell, WR, Texas
The MDS spurned wide receiver earlier in this 2024 NFL Mock Draft, presumably safe in the knowledge that a playmaker like Adonai Mitchell would still be available when they returned to the podium.
Mitchell excelled at Georgia and Texas with ankle-snapping route running and red-zone prowess, giving Kyler Murray a phenomenal weapon.
28) Buffalo Bills: Xavier Legette, WR, South Carolina
Despite measuring less than his listed height and weight at the Senior Bowl, Xavier Legette still maintains a trajectory to the 2024 NFL Draft’s first round. There aren’t many receivers anywhere that combine his frame and alluring athletic traits, but Legette’s catch-point prowess ensures his placement with the Buffalo Bills.
29) Detroit Lions: Byron Murphy II, DT, Texas
Dan Campbell has built the Detroit Lions in his image. A furious bunch of knee-cap biters, defensive dominance is the key to them taking the next step as a Super Bowl contender.
Adding Texas DT Byron Murphy II to their front seven gives the Lions a ludicrous behemoth who can obliterate offensive linemen with power or explosiveness as an unstoppable force.
30) Baltimore Ravens: Graham Barton, G, Duke
The Baltimore Ravens added multiple interior offensive linemen a year ago, but they should continue strengthening the trenches this time around.
Duke’s Graham Barton is a powerful and well-built piledriver who will likely transition inside at the next level despite holding down the left tackle spot in Durham. He’ll upgrade all facets of the Ravens’ offense.
31) Kansas City Chiefs: Troy Franklin, WR, Oregon
Despite the play of Rashee Rice helping the Kansas City Chiefs reach the Super Bowl, wide receiver should be considered the biggest need in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Troy Franklin is a dangerous speedster who adds ludicrous after-the-catch value while also having the height and competitiveness to do business at the catch point — despite a somewhat featherweight frame.
32) San Francisco 49ers: Tyler Guyton, OT, Oklahoma
The offensive line is likely to be the main area of focus for the San Francisco 49ers early in the 2024 NFL Draft. Here, they land an offensive tackle who has showcased an upward trajectory in his development, from a questionable starter in 2022 to a potential first-round selection.
Tyler Guyton has flashed his athleticism, savagery, and power in the Sooners’ high-powered offense this fall while boasting an NFL-ready frame at 6’7″ and 326 pounds.
