Still shy of his 25th birthday, Jerry Jeudy’s dynasty value has already experienced peaks and valleys. The Denver Broncos took Jeudy with the 15th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft after consecutive dazzling seasons at Alabama. By averaging 16.5 yards per catch in his introductory season, the hope was that they had a bonafide WR1 for years to come.
Safe to say, that hasn’t happened. And as Jeudy approaches the final year of his rookie deal, questions are rightfully being asked about what the future holds for him. Is Jeudy a complementary receiver moving forward? Is a change of scenery all he needed?
Those are questions you, the dynasty manager, have to consider as your 2024 fantasy football roster begins to take shape. Jeudy was dealt on March 9 to the Cleveland Browns for future draft picks and will likely be Robin to Amari Cooper‘s Batman in a developing offense that should have Deshaun Watson back under center.
Trade: Broncos and Browns agreed to a deal today that will send WR Jerry Jeudy to Cleveland in exchange for two draft picks, sources tell ESPN.

Jerry Jeudy’s Dynasty Outlook
Let’s call a spade a spade. Through four seasons, Jeudy has been a bust by fantasy standards. He hasn’t scored more than three touchdowns in three of those seasons and his next 1,000-yard season will be his first.
Jeudy’s 59.3% career catch rate is partly his fault and partly the result of below-average play under center. However, he can’t control the latter, and it’s not clear that the quality of targets is going to improve in the short term.

Heading into 2023, Jeudy was drafted as the WR29 in half-PPR finishes and, on a per-game basis, concluded the year as the WR55 (behind the likes of Curtis Samuel and Darius Slayton). Timing is to dynasty leagues what location is to real estate agents — it’s everything.
Should you be cutting ties while Jeudy’s age and pedigree give him some value to the rest of your league, or is hanging on for dear life the proper course of action?

Should You Trade Jeudy in Dynasty?
Not all hope is lost. Jeudy dropped 12 passes as a rookie, an unacceptable 10.6% of his targets, but has only put 12 looks on the ground since (4.9% is still too high, but it’s a step in the right direction at the very least).
Jeudy hauled in a 40+ yard pass in three of four games to close the 2023 season, giving us a glimmer of the big-play potential that he assumed we’d see more of up to this point.
That’s not to say that I have some statistical model that builds Jeudy up as a breakout star, but that patience can be a virtue in these situations. You have an asset in distress at the moment, where your only options are selling low or holding.
- Tyler Lockett, Years 1-4: 9.3 fantasy points per game, 14.3 yards/catch, 12.6 aDOT
- Jeudy, Years 1-4: 9.4 fantasy points per game, 14.5 yards/catch, 12.3 aDOT
I’m not interested in moving Jeudy right now given how he is viewed. Am I confident he will develop into the type of player we picture when discussing a former first-round pick?
No. But as he enters his physical prime, with inarguably the most support around him, this is hardly the time to give up on a receiver with his best football in front of him.

The risk-reward equation of trading Jeudy away simply doesn’t make sense right now. That is, the downside of making the wrong move prior to his peak far outweighs the benefit of getting what the market is willing to give at this moment in time.
