The Super Bowl is always a star-studded affair. But with the San Francisco 49ers set to take on the Kansas City Chiefs in Las Vegas, it could very well be out of control. While the star power is expected to be over the top, so is the price of admission, says Christian McCaffrey’s mother, Lisa McCaffrey.
With players’ families looking to go to the big game, the McCaffreys are no different. However, Lisa said that the family cannot afford the outrageous price of a suite for the affair.
Christian McCaffrey’s Mom Says They Can’t Afford Suite
On the latest episode of Lisa’s “Your Mom” podcast, the All-Pro RB’s mom let it be known that the family will be sitting among the general population for the game as they cannot afford the astronomical price it costs for a suite for the big game.
“We looked into a suite and none of us can afford it,” Lisa said. “Not even Christian, money bags over there — nor money bags Olivia [Culpo, Christian’s fiancée]. So, we are not in a suite, I’ll tell you that right now.”
StubHub announced the get-in price for the game was an absurd $6,500 with the average entry fee being $9,300. Suites were in the range of $300k to $2.5 million.
With the biggest sporting event in the world coming to one of the most visited tourist attractions in the country, adding to the fact that Taylor Swift may be in attendance, as well as the usual celebrity fanfare, this year’s Super Bowl always had the chance to be over the top as far price and entertainment.
However, even though McCaffrey’s mom said that she would not be getting a suite for Super Bowl 58, Christian’s fiancée Olivia Culpo had other plans.

“Fake news! Happy birthday Lisa I bought you a suite,” Culpo announced on social media.
For a short time, it looked like the McCaffrey clan would in fact be sitting happy for the Super Bowl in a luxury suite. But then, in another turn of events, the 49ers RB had other plans in mind.
“She tried to but I will not let anybody pay to watch me play. I had to nix that,” McCaffrey told Extra during the Super Bowl Opening Night on Monday.
McCaffrey’s Net Worth
Despite not wanting to fork up the money for a suite at the Super Bowl, it does not mean that McCaffrey is hurting for money either. The 49ers’ star running back is doing just fine, and his current net worth according to Celebrity Net Worth currently sits at $30 million.
“CMC” could front the bill if he wanted to, but he chooses not to. I don’t think many blame him.
