Latest on the Dallas Cowboys’ Pro Bowl Roster

Lawrence and Ferguson were added to the roster to replace Nick Bosa and George Kittle, respectively, who will play in the Super Bowl. As for Smith, he’s replacing G Zack Martin, who won’t be attending due to personal reasons.

This will be Ferguson and Smith’s first and Lawrence’s fourth Pro Bowl appearance.

It was also announced that Dak Prescott will not be in attendance for this year’s games as well.

    DeMarcus Lawrence

In his 10th season, Lawrence is one of the team’s longest-standing veterans. This season, he had 50 total tackles and five sacks.

Lawrence’s ability to stop the run, especially when key parts of the defense line were injured, was clutch for the Cowboys’ defense. He’s a locker-room leader and an excellent example on and off the field.

Additionally, Lawrence is the Cowboys’ 2023 nominee for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award for his involvement in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and his home state of South Carolina.

    Jake Ferguson

Ferguson is quickly becoming a household name with tight ends around the league. This was his first season as the team’s starting tight end, becoming a security blanket for Prescott.

Ferguson had 71 receptions for 761 yards and five touchdowns this season. His yards-after-catch ability stands out the most in his play, but he’s a fast and consistent aspect of the offense.

    Tyler Smith

Smith is another example of a second-year jump who made the Cowboys’ offensive line better. He was one of the top-graded guards in football this year and continues to impress as a second-year player.

Smith was dealing with a torn plantar fascia toward the end of the season but played 14 games.
