Throughout NFL history, there have been 58 Super Bowl winners. Fourteen head coaches have won multiple Super Bowls, combining for 37 titles and making up 63% of all Super Bowl winners. Here’s a list of the head coaches who have won multiple Super Bowls.
Head Coaches With Multiple Super Bowl Wins
Vince Lombardi (2)
Widely regarded as the greatest coach in NFL history, Vince Lombardi led the Green Bay Packers to five NFL championships in the 1960s, including convincing wins in Super Bowls I and II.
In the first Super Bowl, his Packers beat the Kansas City Chiefs, 35-10, and the next year, Green Bay repeated with a 33-14 victory over the Oakland Raiders.
Don Shula (2)
Don Shula and his Miami Dolphins won consecutive titles in Super Bowls VII and VIII. The 1972 Dolphins squad had the only undefeated season in NFL history.
Shula, who appeared in six Super Bowls throughout his career, would lead the Dolphins back to the big game two more times after the back-to-back titles. But Miami lost in Super Bowl XVII to Washington and then again two years later (Super Bowl XIX) to the San Francisco 49ers.
Tom Landry (2)
Tom Landry is third all-time in Super Bowl appearances by a head coach (5), and he led the Dallas Cowboys to victory in Super Bowl VI over the Dolphins and again six years later in Super Bowl XII over the Denver Broncos.

Believe it or not, those two championships for Landry and Dallas were the only two titles for the NFL/NFC during a 13-year stretch that saw the AFL/AFC win 11 times.
Tom Flores (2)
While the late John Madden is viewed by many to this day as the face of the Raiders franchise, it’s worth remembering that Tom Flores was the head coach for two of the team’s three Super Bowl titles.
Flores was the winning coach in Super Bowl XV (Oakland Raiders) and XVIII (Los Angeles Raiders).
Bill Parcells (2)
Bill Parcells returned the New York Giants to glory during the 1980s, leading them to two Super Bowl wins in a five-season span.
In Super Bowl XXI, the Giants defeated the Broncos for their first Super Bowl title. Then, in Super Bowl XXV, they captured their second title with a dramatic win over the Buffalo Bills.
George Seifert (2)
George Seifert took over for the legendary Bill Walsh and immediately kept the San Francisco 49ers championship machine going, leading them to a second straight Super Bowl title in his first season as head coach in Super Bowl XXIV.
He followed that title up with another championship five years later in Super Bowl XXIX. Seifert also won his two Super Bowls with two different Hall of Fame quarterbacks — Joe Montana and Steve Young.
Jimmy Johnson (2)
Just four years after leaving the collegiate ranks for the NFL, Jimmy Johnson had the Cowboys back on top, winning back-to-back Super Bowls (XXVII and XXVIII).

Johnson left Dallas following the latter victory, a move that some feel prevented the Cowboys from winning an unprecedented third consecutive Super Bowl.
Mike Shanahan (2)
After going 0-4 in their Super Bowl history prior to Mike Shanahan, the Broncos were able to capture back-to-back Super Bowls in 1997 and 1998.
Denver upset the Packers to win Super Bowl XXXII and followed that with a win over the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl XXXIII a year later.
Tom Coughlin (2)
Tom Coughlin led the Giants to perhaps the greatest upset in Super Bowl history, denying the New England Patriots a perfect 19-0 season with a 17-14 win in Super Bowl XLII.
Four years later, Coughlin and the Giants upset the Patriots again, this time in Super Bowl XLVI, 21-17.
Andy Reid (2)
Andy Reid is the most recent coach to join the multiple Super Bowl wins club, leading the Chiefs to a win over his former team, the Philadelphia Eagles, in Super Bowl LVII. Then, he led Kansas City to back-to-back Super Bowl wins in 2022 and 2023.
The Chiefs have now won three of the last five Super Bowls under Reid’s guidance.
Bill Walsh (3)
One of only four coaches to win three or more Super Bowls, Walsh changed the game with his innovative West Coast offense. That, along with the arm of Hall of Famer Montana, paved the way to two wins over the Bengals (Super Bowls XVI and XXIII) and against the Dolphins (XIX).
Joe Gibbs (3)
Joe Gibbs is the only one of the four coaches with 3+ Super Bowl titles to do so with not two, but three different starting quarterbacks.
Gibbs led Washington to victories in Super Bowl XVII (QB Joe Theismann), XXII (QB Doug Williams), and XXVI (QB Mark Rypien).
Chuck Noll (4)
The architect behind the Pittsburgh Steelers, Chuck Noll was a perfect 4-0 in Super Bowls, winning his four championships in a six-year span. He’s also the only coach to win back-to-back Super Bowls twice.

Noll and the Steelers captured Super Bowls IX and X, then after a two-year absence, were champions again by winning Super Bowls XIII and XIV.
Bill Belichick (6)
The all-time leader in Super Bowl appearances (9), Bill Belichick has a record six Super Bowl titles on his coaching résumé. His six titles came over an 18-year span, yet the first three — Super Bowls XXXVI, XXXVIII, and XXXIX — happened over the course of four years.
Then, after going nine straight years without a title, Belichick’s final three Super Bowl wins (XLIX, LI, and LIII), came over a five-season span.
