Bills ‘Feed the Pit’ Trend Explained: Bills Fans “Sacrificing” Themselves for the Team

Bills fans are going to extreme lengths to make sure their team wins. A wild theory explains that Feed the Pit is the reason for Buffalo's success.

Fans of the Buffalo Bills are some of the craziest in the NFL. Whether they are shirtless in the freezing cold or jumping through tables, you can never underestimate the dedication of the Bills Mafia.

However, a new trend in upstate New York may have taken the commitment to the cause a little too far. Bills fans have decided there is a new theory to their success in 2023, and it is a dangerous one.

“Feed the Pit”: What Does It Mean?

Buffalo has built up a head of steam late in the 2023 season, winning six straight games to close the season and finish as the No. 2 seed. They then demolished the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Wild Card round, with QB Josh Allen key to their success.

However, a theory among the Bills Mafia could mean something else is at play. Rumors on social media are suggesting the Bills are winning because fans are being fed to the pit, not the on-field play.

The pit is the site of the Bills’ new stadium, which is currently under construction. Right now it is just a massive pit, with the stadium not expected to be ready until 2026, the groundwork has only just been laid.

Fans have decided the secret to the Bills’ late-season success is due to someone falling into the pit that has been dug ready for their stadium, with the theory stretching back to September 2023.

WIVB reported that before the Bills’ home game against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 2, a fan fell into the pit and was charged with criminal trespassing.

It has sparked a theory that has gone viral on social media, where it is claimed that a fan has fallen into the pit before the last five Bills victories. It has led to fans actively throwing themselves into the construction site, sacrificing themselves for the greater good of the team.

You may be mistaken for thinking that this is a little ‘Parks and Recreation.’ You are unlikely to see Chris Pratt writing a song about falling into a pit this time.

But it has led to attorney Willam Mattar providing legal advice to fans. “DO NOT jump into the pit,” Matter posted on social media as fans will be charged with trespassing.

The wild theory has had everyone talking on social media, with one TikTok video getting over 26,000 likes. The video says the Mafia believes “the pit must be fed” if they are to continue to win games.

One social media post claims that a source inside the ECMC emergency room says that, “they have seen a patient that has fallen into the pit on EVERY SINGLE GAMEDAY since the start of the Bills’s five-game win streak.”
