Prescott, Lamb, and Parsons’ Families All Take to Social Media To Rip Cowboys — What’s Going on in Dallas?

The Cowboys' 2023 season came to a disappointing end. Now, some players' families are sharing their thoughts on social media. What's going on?

The Dallas Cowboys’ 2023-24 season came to a close in surprising fashion when they fell in the Wild Card Round to the Green Bay Packers 48-32. This meant, despite a 12-5 record and an NFC East title, the Cowboys would not win the Super Bowl.

With the shocking letdown in the playoffs, blame has been tossed around from coach to player to front office. This includes some of the players’ family members letting their opinions be known. What is going on in Dallas?

It all starts with CeeDee Lamb and his mother, Leta Ramirez. Following the team’s disappointing performance, Ramirez took to her Facebook account where she said “DAK ISN’T IT!!!”

In the game against the Packers, Dak Prescott completed 41 of 60 passes for 403 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions. Lamb, on the other hand, caught nine passes on 17 targets for 110 yards. On the year, Prescott passed for 4,516 yards, 36 touchdowns, and nine interceptions.

Ramirez wasn’t done either, replying to multiple comments on her post. “Tell the youngin to come to the home team. CJ [Stroud] would love him,” one commenter said. “S**t I wish he would! CJ is great,” Ramirez responded. “He [Prescott] don’t want to win a RING!,” Ramirez said in another comment.

“They need to get rid of his a**! It’s guys on that team that’s wants a RING! They work to hard,” Ramirez finished. Lamb was one of the best receivers in the NFL in 2023, catching 135 passes for 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Next up is Prescott’s older brother, who shared his frustration with the fans. “Cowboy fans why continue to DM me TRUST ME, if I could get @dak to leave Dallas I would. I too want him out of Dallas,” Tad Prescott said on X (formerly known as Twitter).

His brother continued to share that, despite this, Prescott still loves the team and wants to win championships. “The city and organization have been great to he and our family, but done with drama and the so called fans, but he loves this team, and wants to bring it rings,” Tad said.

He added, in another tweet, that he has no problems with the organization or team, but his issue is with the fans. “It’s the so called fans I have an issue with,” Tad said.

Finally, Micah Parsons’ brother, Terrence Parsons Jr., got in on the action. “I can’t wait because y’all are really clueless out here lmfaooo the greatest crimes to this man is being done by his own organization,” Parsons Jr. said on X. “Y’all gonna miss him when he goneeeeeeeee.”

Following Parsons Jr.’s comments, Parsons himself did come out and make sure it was known he did not share the same opinion. “Any comments made by Terrence Parsons Jr are his & his alone,” said Parsons on X. “I love my team, my brothers on my team and the city of Dallas.”

One thing many people expected following the game was a change at the top, with head coach Mike McCarthy potentially being let go. However, he wasn’t, and it was decided he would be retained.

Despite being retained, McCarthy has just one year left on his current deal. He will not receive any sort of extension from the Cowboys, according to ESPN, and he will coach the 2024 season on an expiring contract, meaning if the team disappoints once again, they could look for a new coach without firing McCarthy.
