Dallas Cowboys Whiteout: NFL Fans Urged To Wear White for Packers Playoff Game

    Published on

The Dallas Cowboys are set to host the Green Bay Packers in an NFC Wild Card matchup. The team is encouraging its fans to wear all white.

The Dallas Cowboys finished the 2023 regular season as the NFC East champions and secured themselves the No. 2 in the NFC playoffs. With that, the Cowboys could play most if not all of their playoff games at home.

For the Cowboys — maybe more than any other team in the league — this is a big deal. The Cowboys have won 16 straight home games dating back to last season, with their last loss coming in Week 1 of last season. They thrive at home playing in front of their fans. With the Packers coming into town, the team is calling upon the fans to do their part.

Dallas Cowboys Fans Urged To Wear White

One of the perks of being a high seed in the playoffs is the opportunity to play at home in a comfortable environment. For the Cowboys, they have enjoyed their fair share of home cooking over the last two seasons and look to continue that on Sunday against the Packers.

Ahead of their matchup with Jordan Love and Co., the Cowboys are telling their fans in attendance about a “white out” and are encouraging everyone to wear their best white Cowboys gear for the game.

Pro Football Hall of Famer and Cowboys legend Michael Irvin has a clear message for the fans:

“Cowboys Nation, show up Sunday, show out Sunday, wear white, and get loud, let’s go!”

The expectation has been set, and it will be up to the Cowboys faithful to bring their A-game to see if it is enough to help push their team over the top for a playoff victory.

Dallas Cowboys Are a Different Team at Home

This season, the Cowboys have looked like two entirely different teams at times, depending on the location of the game. They are 8-0 at home, averaging 37.4 points per game. Conversely, the Cowboys are 4-5 on the road, averaging 23.3 points per game.

The Cowboys have scored almost a full two touchdowns more per game at home compared to on the road, a staggering statistical difference for a 12-5 No. 2 seed.
